finally got around to watching Halloween (2018) last night and loved it. I will definitely be watching it again in October

 

same haha. the whole paint/grilling sequence honestly. i still randomly say "tastes like wood..and paint" to people in the office and several immediately knew the reference thankfully

Yes. Self-contained seasons with some actors/actresses crossing over.

 

Damn, Denis The Menace memory lane is making me feel all kinds of old and nostalgic.

 

Is this streaming anywhere?

On a related side note: I'm actually finishing up a book called The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle that's very reminiscent of Happy Death Day, if anyone is interested that enjoyed these films.

 

Doesn’t seem to be on any streaming services yet, I rented it from red box

That Babadook thing is so off the wall crazy.

Does anyone have any horror show recommendations that we haven’t already talked about recently? Slasher didn’t scratch that itch but I’m struggling to find lists that aren’t just things I’ve seen before.

 

Have you watched Bates Motel? I liked the first two seasons but don't remember watching after that.

 

Only an episode or two. It just didn’t grab me for whatever reason.

I forgot that The Terror is on Hulu so that may be my next choice.

 

The Terror was so surprisingly good. Very dark though.

 

It’s one I’ve heard only good things about but kept forgetting. And Hulu is the absolute worst at recommending things.

 

The Terror was indeed good. Very deliberately paced, though. Jared Harris always picks good shows to star in.

 

HDD2U was great. I feel like these are good movies to ease people who don't like scary movies into horror. Lmao at that credits scene.

A Hole in the Ground was decent. Was hoping for a little more, though.
