One of my absolute least favorite Blink songs. Hahaha

I dig She's Out of Her Mind regardless of the lyrics, which I don't even think are that bad. It's classic blink.

 

Nnnoooooo!!! Haha. To each their own. I LOVE that song.

 

Haven't listened to it yet but I read the lyrics and it seems pretty on par with songs like The Rock Show and First Date to me. I think First Date's are worse honestly.

 

That album leaked pretty early ... hahah ... I wanna say two months at least ...

 

I think "Always" are worse if we're being honest. Heh.

 

We just didn't have the technology to get leaks so fast back then lol. They happened but most of us were like durrrr Internet and didn't know how to find them

 

It a-a-actually reminds me of Rock Show, which is funny to me because I hate that song. This seems like a perfected version

 

And then some of us sat on IRC channels and saw everything. Heh. Napster, Limewire ... had nothing on IRC.

 

We need a Chorus IRC channel.

 

FTP, IRC, there were a few AIM sharing networks I remember existing. Usually quite a few days before Napster. I knew a kid at school that would sell burned copies of albums early at lunch. Made a killing Eminem and Britney Spears. Hah.

That album was huge. My nerdy friends and I just had a private server we shared together with music, software, stuff like that on there that we could all use to grab things we needed. First time I learned linux.

 

I used all my earnings from trading CD's on dunkaroos, oatmeal cream pies and baseball cards. I didn't get fat and got an Ichiro signed rookie card out of it. If hashtags were around back then, I would have number signed winning

 

Haha I mean probably! I love that song but man. The nitpicking on lyrics is ridiculous. People are wearing some serious nostalgia goggles and losing sight of why they listen to this band. They certainly can come up with some memorable lines but it's about fun. Relatability. The music. If you want to sit down, comb through and grade the lyrics? That isn't gonna go well from virtually any point in their history.

And personally right now I can really use a fun, shut-your-brain-off sing along great pop-punk record. And it seems like that's what I'll be getting on Friday haha.

 

It would never happen in a million years but "Sometimes" would be fun as hell to add to the set this upcoming tour

I think there's a difference between simple, charming and stupid lyrics. I think blink uses all three with differing success.
