I got into blink in the summer/late spring(?) of 99. I was at a friends house and WMAA was on TRL. That changed it all.

At the time I was into Limp Bizkit and Eminem. Enema changed all of that.

Edit: I was 12. So weird.

I became a fan when EOTS came out too. Heard WMAA on the radio and loved it but didn't look into the band cos I wasn't really "into" music back then outside of whatever the radio played me. My bro bought me EOTS though and I became obsessed and had the cliché life changing experience of suddenly liking guitar music and learning to play the guitar and 20 years later I'm in my 30s and discussing the intricate nuances of a dick obsessed joke band on the internet. What a cool guy.

i think if this tour ends up being an Enema tour there is no need to announce the new album yet.

Damn it made me a fan, I remember when I first heard it. I use to order the video on the box lol.

I like the idea of having more than 10 songs, especially if they’ve been experimenting around a lot.

I had to wait outside of a k-mart and pay a stranger to buy Enema for me because of the parental advisory sticker. I was 12. It was the first CD I bought with my own money. What a trip!

    Die rad.

"Its Travis's sweat cause we f&@$ in the butt. Travis f$@*ed me in the butt and I sweat it so much that I came."

"People call me the porcupine. Club boy. I got clubbing all night. Tokyo. BANGKOK I DONT GIVE A FU$%

I honestly can’t remember how I got the explicit version of the CD.

I got Enema at Media Play. It's crazy to think how big cd sections were then lol.

I didn’t really become infatuated with blink until Enema came out, and I was 15, end of my freshman year. I had seen them live at Warped in ‘97, I think? I was 13 or 14, and I knew “Dammit” from radio, and “Josie” from a comp I had borrowed from a friend. And there was a blink Dude Ranch sticker in my locker that I hadn’t put there, so when WMAA started popping up on the radio, it made a real impression on me.

I had a friend in Spanish class who had a blink cover band around then, and he convinced me exactly 20 years ago to take whatever little money I had been saving to see the South Park movie or buy Weird Al’s album or whatever, that I should get Enema and thank him later. So I bought Dude Ranch as well, because for some crazy reason back then, Fred Meyer sold CDs for like, $6 on sale and that was real value. But I fell for Enema because it didn’t necessarily “speak” for me, but it felt comforting and honest, and to be frank, I thought this was the guidebook on teenagedom (it isn’t). But I still studied the booklet and decided I wanted to be Mark Hoppus because I guess Tom’s piercings scared me? I was a naive, undersized suburban kid, so I guess spiking my hair up was as rebellious as I could get. Then I went to see American Pie just for the blink cameo, and that opened up an entirely new entry in my adolescence.

OG No it isn't without the drums til the end is probz Mark's best song. Some real vicious, venomous shit.

I don't think it's venomous at all the guy literally hurt and it comes through in the lyrics. Like in term of heartbreak songs that one's up there.

It's a fine heartbreak song but it's no Lionel Richie track

like the saddest song on the album is about losing his best friend jfc. thats so much worse then a breakup song.

"This isn't just goodbye. This is I can't stand you" and "Curse my enemies forever" are pretty directly vicious lines. Add the fact he released it on Tom's birthday too.

I guess I mean they weren't an attack on him like some tracks I'm thinking of. He didn't hate him, he was grieving over the loss of a freindship.

but I agree vicious in terms of how hard it hits.

I mean it's not exactly Hit em up but it's pretty harsh haha. I agree with the rest of your points though!

Give Me One Good Reason is Tom's most viscous writing. I don't think all hippies are scumbags.

I legitemately wonder how tom took it when he heard it. I'd be wrecked.
