Well that's kinda my point? If they didn't read the fine print and didn't understand what the investment is, that's on them. I believe the minimum amount was $200 too so it's not like people who only invested the minimum are being robbed of thousands of dollars like you guys seem to be implying.

So you shouldn't be mad that you bought a ticket to the blink concert and Ticketmaster wouldn't refund your money because it was a platinum package or whatever it was because you didn't read the fine print before you bought the ticket saying it wasn't refundable. At least you'll still be able to go to the show and hopefully enjoy granted you'll be sitting in a seat instead of being in the pit. These people are basically lighting their money on fire by investing in the company. And $200 could be a lot of money to some of these people, dollar amount shouldn't be a factor here, getting screwed is getting screwed.

I think the lyrics to "Snake Charmer" indicate he did not really grow out of those views, lol

  9. I got Enema the day it came out because I had seen the WMAA video a few days/weeks before so I was already excited about it being released. I still have my original copy, with the red cross on the nurse's hat, and the capital "B" on her jacket. The CD booklet is so worn from me constantly reading through the lyrics/thank yous, that I eventually had to tape up some of the folds because they were starting to tear.

Enema changed my life completely. Or maybe it just helped me realize what I wanted to do with my life since I was just an awkward/lost 13 year old at the time who parted his hair down the middle, wore corduroy JNCO pants, Hawaiian shirts, and always had Silly Putty in one pocket and a purple pack of Skittles in the other.

Who'da thunk that that summer I'd start playing guitar more seriously, reading books about aliens, wearing Dickies shorts, and talking about poop for the next however many years...

Enema of the State remained the sole CD in my Sony Walkman with a big blue Weezer sticker on it for the rest of 1999.

Although yes, Californication and Astro Lounge got some runs, too. But I vividly remember going to see my grandpa in Phoenix that summer, and performing my own choreography to “Adam’s Song” late at night in my bedroom and watching TRL for their frequent cameos.

I just remember being at a beach house during the summer of 1999 with one of my best friends and two girls and my friend either had WMAA on a CD mix tape or it played on the radio and I instantly fell in love with the song from that opening riff. I went out the next day and bought the CD and fell in love with the band. A few days later went out and got Dude Ranch and a few days after that went out and get Cheshire Cat (I ended up getting Buddha for Christmas a few months later). I was and have been obsessed with them since. I was just lucky that it was the heyday of MTV/TRL where any time you put on that channel blink would be on it whether it was a TV special like making the music video or whatever. Such a good and fun time.

They have been my favorite band for 20 years now and easily have been the most influential musical artists in my life. They turned me on to other bands that were similar to them and made me pick up and learn to play guitar and bass. I feel like every time there has been a major event in my life they have put out an album that same year that I could completely relate to and thus have a soundtrack to my life that takes me back to that time(as corny as that sounds). And that goes for the BCR, first AVA and +44 album as well. I will never forget hearing that opening riff to WMMA for the first time.
