  1. I think the timing and core of SOOHM have the best shot at Top 40 radio. It's the simplicity of the whole song, easy to understand lyrics, and enough throwback sound. The BPM is right on track for making a shot at it. No idea if it'll take, but that's the one you service for the summer if you want to take a shot. It's the "First Date" like track that you throw up and see if it catches or not. Plenty of others IMO can do great on alt radio as well if they want.

    Things have changed.

Chorus is far too complicated and wordy

The #3 song in America right now is the most complicated and wordy song ever made

Just got back to listening to this in the car for the first time. Recently upgraded my car speakers and sub to JL Audio gear and this record sounds dope bumping out of those. Stupid grin on my face when Los Angeles got the Sub booming.

This and Left Alone are already coming into my top fave Blink songs for sure.

I wonder how the rocksound track by track came together? They forgot about cynical and misquoted the lyrics of kings of the weekend and los angeles, like did they even got to hear the tracks?

@Dirty Sanchez buddy, I have missed your opinion about the new album...do you like it?

  8. they were probably listening to it and writing it on the spot, and taking notes the best they could, or something like that. like, maybe they just played it for them in a room rather than giving them the songs.

    I haven't listened :embarrassed:

Actually, I've heard it haha. I like it a lot, but not as much as I was hoping. Still, I'd give it an 8.5/10. Lots of good songs on there, but a few that I don't care if I hear again.

Rabbit Hole, Bro, Pool, Kings of the Weekend. None of those songs have clicked with me at all and I've listened to them about 5 times each already.

Interesting. "Kings of the Weekend" was the one that made me say "Ok, I really like this record".

That was just my initial reaction on my first listen. But I think that whole run from "No Future" through "California" is just fantastic, with "The Only Thing That Matters" being my current favorite.

Agree about Rabbit Hole - the weakest song on the album. My score is 9.0. The only thing I would like to have...one more heavier / experimental song. Let's hear Hey, I am sorry on Friday.

My favorite track is Los Angeles haha.

Brohemian and Built this pool barely constitute as songs. I will say that Kings of the Weekend left me feeling meh. Just not that good of a jam.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

Does anyone else get a bit of an Owl City vibe from the ballad?

I hate that they wasted that guitar riff on brohemian on a 24 second joke song.

Agreed. My least favorite on the album for sure. My hit of the day is left alone...that chorus.

Seriously...the way the song even builds up you know it's going to be awesome...then you're just left disappointed. Sigh.
