Well the Mastodon/Coheed tour just started that they're opening on, setlist for first night looks pretty on point considering it's an opening, covers a little bit of everything (no Ex Lives unfortunately but again hey for an opener not bad)

I assume they'll switch out 1 or 2 songs every so often, I'm going to see the tour a week from now so I'm super pumped.

 

That’s a really good support setlist.

 

Looks like a lot of their more ~metal~ songs.

 

I wouldn't be surprised if they slip Underwater Bimbos in at some point, feel like that fits with the type of show and it gets some Ex Lives representation in

 

Shouldn’t have expected otherwise for an opening slot on a bigger tour, but bummed to not see different songs mixed in. Apocalypse and INRIhab have been the go-to “deep cuts” for a few tours in a row now.

 

Despite having a massive catalog they still play roughly the same songs. Reminds me of Thursday smh.

 

I would love to hear Pretty Dirty live one of these days.

Didn’t they play a completely different setlists every night for an entire tour or two recently?

 

Complaining about this setlist is blasphemy. Vincent of TAS said it best once live: “Sorry if we didn’t play your favorite songs tonight. We probably played them a lot when you didn’t listen to us. Or maybe we played them at the other show. You should’ve gone to that one.”

 

Imagine writing a breakdown as hard as Just As Real... and never playing it smh.

 

I’d venture to guess the band takes into consideration what is being streamed the most online nowadays. These guys are playing to some really huge crowds full of people who likely are just there for Coheed. It’s no surprise to me it’s a hits list.

 

Apocalypse has one of the best riffs of all time, so I don’t blame them for busting that out at most shows.

 

its a solid mix and i think this will bode well for them considering the amount of people who are probably there just for coheed/mastodon

They swapped in Bimbos for Apocalypse last night

 

So I'm seeing them for the first time during this tour and I'm fucking pissed that I won't be able to be in a pit for it.

let this be the preview that you need to seek them out on a headlining tour in the future where you can get up front

 

My roommate last-minute got offered a ticket to the Syracuse show that was last night. Said it was awesome, and the setlist was great as per usual.
