This album could probably outsell Neighborhoods long term but it won't sell 150k first week. Red Hot Chili Peppers didn't reach that with their latest and they're a more popular band.

I think it can definitely outpace Neighborhoods eventually. For an album that sold 151 k first week, 353k in almost five years seems pretty low to me.

Blink is coming back from a hiatus
Right, seeing how streaming affects things will be interesting as well. As long as they have the #1 album, which I think will happen, I'll be happy.

Since we all preordered the album (right?) lets stream it every time we listen for the first week

I bought a signed cd, a cassette, and I'll be streaming the shit out of it all week. Totally doing my part haha.

I honestly think it will outsell neighborhoods when it releases, just in the fact they count streaming now and that the advertising and marketing for this album has been much more hyped then neighborhood was

And the fact that its much better than neighborhoods.

I bought the album, bought BTD and No Future from amazon(because kings road sucks at preorders and promotions for some reason), and plan to buy the album again on release day digitally from Amazon(because I yet again assume kings road will blow the digital side of preorders)

That's an opinion, one which I cannot confirm or deny until I hear the album, but yeah lol

If this hits 100k first week, I think the band will be happy.

Considering they replaced the most visible member and the guy that took over the majority of the last three releases, absolutely.

As far as streaming goes what platforms are included in that? So I can do my part

I still have only heard Bored to Death and have only listened to Rabbit Hole twice. I'm so excited to hear this thing on Friday. Most of the response in here has me feeling optimistic.

I wonder how many new fans Trio gets. I'm not the selfish person I was when I was young, Trio deserves any extra success this brings them. When they announced Skiba was gonna join, I really didnt expect this level of hype or positivity towards blink again. I'm so glad Skiba's generally been accepted so seamlessly.

  17. some people are receiving pre-orders today, apparently! cool! i ordered a copy for my youngest brother who loves Blink. i hope he gets his copy early. he'd be so stoked.

  18. Totally. Skiba is in a win/win situation right now. Alkaline Trio will definitely get some new fans coming to shows/buying their music, or at least streaming.

With all these new fans, soon enough, blink will be accused of ripping off both Goldfinger and Alkaline Trio!

The only one I've received shipping confirmation for is my solo white copy from KRM (which originally had a 7/22/16 date) - and I got 4 emails alerting me of this shipping haha. Says it is been shipped one-day priority and hasn't been dropped off yet so I'll probably get it on Friday. My purple and black copies from the bundles which have a 7/1/16 street date have zero shipping info yet so I'm guessing I won't actually get them by Friday.

I have to say, I really dig the new live version of "I Miss You" with Matt singing. Kinda gives it a new life for me.

Matt works with the Untitled songs awesomely. Down, Always, Violence.. I definitely had gotten tired of Always live but I love it again with Matt.

This is honestly one of my favorite things about Matt joining Blink. The potential that so many more people are turned on to Alkaline Trio makes me stoked. No one deserves it more.
