    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

I would as well for two reasons:
    1) Fascinating read
    2) End the stuff about tom still in/coming back in a year etc

Maybe they have to include him in the thank you notes of the booklet. Like he included Brad Pit on neighborhood's booklet.

We talk too much / We talk in circles

There was no divorce. He's still part-owner of Blink 182 and makes a percentage of whatever Blink makes. That's the only way Mark/Travis could continue the band without him. He may not be writing/recording/performing but he's still being paid like he is. Tom will never give up his golden goose.

Cynical is so great. What a fun song, I would love ten more songs in that vein.

Also, Love how Matt sounds in San Diego.

"charming" is one of the words I use when I'm fishing for complimenting something. I've been using it a lot as my girlfriend buys furniture for our apartment...

Yeah but Travis isn't usually the type to fish for compliments he's usually pretty brutal. Lol maybe he was just trying to be humble haha

After about a dozen listens to California, my take is this: It doesn't have that consistent 'feel' of past Blink records that I guess comes through on Tom's voice (for better or worse) and guitar, BUT this is also pretty much what I was hoping for with Skiba. Great songs, great energy, and a solid record.

I haven't heard the whole album yet, holding out for release day, but I really hope they play no future live. It sounds like it'd be such a fun song to hear live

Let's hold our breath until we disappear

At this point, I would love for them to play this entire album live. All I want from blink is a fresh set list.

    Don't be a jabroni

If Tom was still in the band the song San Diego would be different - it would be about Tom finding aliens in his Winnebago.

    thumbnail_FullSizeRender-1.jpg

Sing it to the same melody..... it works.

"I can't sleep cause what if I dream
of going back to my Winnebago
    We bought one fried chicken
So we could be more mature
And listen to our favorite blogs in the parking lot
And think of every alien I ever lost in my Winnebago
    (My Winnebago)"

EDIT: San Diego IS one of my favorites on the album along with She's Out Of Her Mind, Sober, Left Alone, Cynical.

I haven't heard the whole album yet so I cannot agree or disagree. I'd still want to hear some of the classics when they play (feeling this, not now, etc.) but I would like some of these songs besides BTD(I am looking forward to hearing this one love though) to replace songs like FD and ATST(Least favorite blink tracks).

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

She's Out of Her Mind, Rabbit Hole and No Future would all be fun ones live. It would be could if they did an acoustic rendition of the ballad near the end of the set to.

They seriously are the worst at interviews. Short like one-word answers, don't even try to keep the conversation going. It's not like they're being asked hard questions, it's like softball questions. i felt like they didn't even hype their album up well.

Anyway, in regards to the new album, after having listened to it about 20 times, I definitely enjoy it and there's some fun songs on there. It's good to get another chapter in the blink history. Went back and listened to Neighborhoods yesterday, and honestly found myself enjoying it much more than I did when it originally came out. It sounds like the next logical progression from the blink-182 record and now California seems like the next logical step after that. I think they all flow into each other well. I will say though, I actually am more of a fan of the guitar and instrumentation on Neighborhoods than California, if not than just the fact that I feel there are actually lead melody lines in guitar or other instrumentation that make the songs more memorable to me; whereas California is more straightforward power chords that are kind of forgettable to me. Matt Skiba's vocals though are phenomenal.

After listening through California again, I'm really not feeling most of it; the straight-forward punk sound just isn't my thing. The hooks aren't all that great either, imo. Self-titled still remains tops
