I keep up with the Mavs in order to watch games with friends and hang out to have a good time, but otherwise I couldn't care less for the NBA. The NFL is miles and miles better as a whole product, imo

 

Any given sunday is an expression for a reason.

 

I hate to compare them for a lot of reasons, but watching a random football game with no personal stakes is much easier than a random NBA game. That’s hard to argue against even as a huge NBA fan

 

NFL as a league has more teams that matter at least.

 

Yeah I just don’t like being told that lol. Especially “sit *the fuck* down” sounds like you don’t respect that person’s reasoning or intelligence at all. Them’s fighting words.

I say “sit the fuck down” to dudes who defend this abortion bill. I say that to people who talk about “black on black crime” and other dogwhistle racist shit like that. I would never say it to my friends cause it sounds so damn disrespectful

 

With all due respect I fully intended to be disrespectful to @CarpetElf because he posted with the sole intention of pissing me off

 

I think the NFL and NBA are both fun and both very flawed in different ways

But now he realizes that to me, it comes off hostile, not just lighthearted and sarcastic. So out of respect he said he will use other phrases when we are getting sharp with each other in discussions.

I'm surprised he didn't fracture his wrist signing that new contract. It's probably for the best, though, because now SF can do what they should've been doing before which is finding someone to play safety that is not Jimmie Ward.

 

49ers have made two of the worst 1st round picks in recent years imo (Garnet and Ward)

 

Agreed. At least they declined Garnett's option, though. Bringing Ward back is inexcusable, especially when done in lieu of pursuing alternatives who haven't ended up on IR four out of the last five seasons. Ouch. Which is also what Jimmie says when he does literally anything.

 

NBA twitter is amazing and the only reason to keep that garbage website afloat

 

Eli Apple, Jimmie Ward, and Rashaad Penny are my top three least favorite 1st round picks in the last couple years.
