Also, Howard Jones of Killswitch Engage had guest vocals on last night in town!

Between yesterday and today, I have listened to every album from this band except for Last Night In Town. It's been real.

I can't even begin to rank them, with The Big Dirty and Gutter Phenomenon getting first listens from me, Hot Damn only having two or three at this point, and New Junk Aesthetic and Ex Lives finally getting listens for the first time in years, but From Parts Unknown is my favorite out of all their albums I listened to lately.

FPU has certainly become the new fan favorite. It comes it at around 3rd for me, behind Hot Damn and Ex Lives.

Since we're listing guest vocalists I need to mention that Sean Ingram of the almighty Coalesce does vocals on Pelican Of The Desert.

I'm starting to feel they only use Keith if there's no guest available :crylaugh:

Always one of the bands that it's nearly impossible to rank well. None of their records are bad. My ranking (at the moment at least):
    1. Hot Damn
    2. From Parts Unknown
    3. Gutter Phenomenon
    4. Ex-Lives
    5. The Big Dirty
    6. New Junk Aesthetic
    7. Last Night In Town

"The Coin Has A Say" has risen to being a top tier ETID track for me. that last minute or so is in-fucking-credible.

Also really cool to hear @Jason Tate and @Thomas Nassiff praise the band on the last podcast. didnt even know Jason was a fan haha. Can not wait to hear Low Teens.

"Glitches" is the song I'm most excited for based on the live videos.

Can't believe these guys are still putting out some of their best material 8 albums in.

I mean, they literally have no other choice. This is their (only) job and they have wife and kids. They can't afford to put out shitty music.

Yeah exactly. Lots of artists have families and put out shit material. ETID are just stellar songwriters that have managed to stay consistent

I merely meant they don't get to phone it in, so to say. Like, at the very least they have to try to put out a good record, whereas with bands such as Coldplay, it clearly doesn't matter.

Yes, but there's a certain pragmatism when it comes to ETID when you listen to them talk about, for example, evolving their music. They don't get to take the risk of putting out an album worth of Moors. They have to gradually evolve their sound because alienating their fans is simply not an option.

I want an album full of Moors though, ha.
