That's just a waste of time to me then haha. Cause that'll take hours and hours of time of studying for no use haha

 

Not really. We don’t have to watch every game haha. Going thru a couple of games will still give us a lot more context. We could do like, a quarter at a time, just randomly whenever we’re both chilling and bored

I’m not talking like, go through a game in one sitting and then go through another one tomorrow haha. I’m thinking maybe 10-15 hours of film watching over the whole summer to be better informed going into the season

 

Just got an e-mail our rent is gonna be $100 off next month as an apology, so that's cool.

 

Yeah I don't see the use in that cause that just shows a piece of things, which isn't useful in forming an opinion haha.

 

I really disagree with that haha. All this arguing about stats just shows us a piece of things. The coaches film shows the full story and puts the correct narrative behind the stats.

Without actually seeing what happened on a strategic level, how we interpret stats is basically all conjecture and rhetoric because you can often come up with multiple explanations for the same thing.

 

Stats from an entire season > film from like four games

 

Like, coaches film shows every play twice from both a horizontal and vertical all-22 view. In what way does that only show a “piece” haha

 

Totally disagree again haha. Nope. Stats are so damn misleading by themselves it’s not even funny

 

Because watching coaches film for just a couple of games doesn't actually tell you enough.

 

Not more misleading than watching just a couple of games and projecting that as if that was the entire season.

 

Teams have tendencies. The things they tried to do in a few games are often a solid representation of how the season went. Provided we don’t just cherry pick the really good or really bad games.

 

But that's still cherry picking. Intentional or not, that's just not accurate haha.

 

Though man this explains all the swings and misses haha.

I’m surprised that someone so into sports is averse to this haha. There is no way you can convince me we didn’t try to use DJ Chark’s size and speed without showing me on the coaches film haha. All you are basing that off is the times he was targeted. You really have no idea if he was used downfield and just never got open until you see the film. Because the broadcast angle doesn’t show downfield routes. That’s just one example

Like we could argue in circles less and actually have a visual to support one of our points if we watched film together

 

Because it's beyond common sense what lol

"I watched half a movie, let me tell you about the entire movie"

It’s more like, you can decide what you do and don’t like about a TV series 4 seasons in, you don’t have to watch the whole damn thing to start to see patterns

 

Except it's really not. You're saying you can talk about an entire season based off a couple of games. That's just not true. Hell, it's more accurate to say that about a movie than a season of a sport.
