This album gets better every time I hear it. It is a blast to listen to.

 

Not gonna lie I was a big skiba skeptik, but holy crap his parts are some of my favorites from the album. He has parts where he sounds like he is playing the "Tom" role, and parts that add his own flair to it, and I think it works. Love his verse and the bridge in No Future, they may be my favorite parts on the whole album.

 

Guys how FUCKING great is San Diego?

I didn't really think about it until now, but I don't know if I was ready for a Skiba-only blink track. After this album though, I am. It really did a great job of easing him into the band - for a lack of a better way to put it.

 

Skiba's verse/yelling vox on Cynical is maybe my favorite part of the record. Can't wait for the bonus track and EP later in the year

 

So good.

 

Such a brilliant way to open the album. The easy ease of Mark's vocals/bass, the erratic drumming from Travis, and the screeching vocals from Matt... it's fucking perfect. Everyone has their moment

 

Is it too early to say San Diego could be a top 5 Blink song?

 

I really hope they add it into the setlist this summer!

 

I honestly don't get the love for San Diego. I like the song, but I think it's certainly one of the weaker tracks here.

 

I am really curious to see how Travis plays that opening fill to Cynical live. I'm not expecting him to "mess up" and say "ahh," haha, but I wonder if he finishes out the fill, or if they would pause before it kicks in similar to the album.

There's really a lot of cool creative options for them to explore. Hearing that song open a show would make me fucking die. It would probably never happen but... I can dream.

 

If blink can only add three songs from California in addition to btd, what would you like? Joke songs don't count.

I want cynical, no future, and she's out of her mind.

Those might be mine too. I would probably take any of them though haha. Really wish they would play at least 5-6

Because I'm probably the only person on the planet who wants to go to a blink show and feel a lot.

 

my new biggest dream: blink opens with Cynical and goes straight to Feeling This, no breaks, no time for the crowd to catch their breath or anything. a 5-minute blow to your eyes and ears and balls!

 

Goes beyond that.... Tom only did radio station appearances/interviews to pitch AVA to the program directors. He would play the album 1 on 1 for them and then invite them to drinks on his bus before/after shows.

 

People with balls really seem to love strange things happening to them.
