One good thing with no new news since the single was released is that it let's me take a little break from Blink and gives me a chance to listen to other stuff until the hype train starts up again.

  7. One of my most random Blink memories is an episode of TRL where these two girls claimed to be Blink's biggest fans. They were invited on to the show and Carson Daly quizzed them on Blink trivia and they got every question wrong. I don't know why I remember this.

Anyone remember the Pop Disaster Tour announcement on TRL where blink and Green Day were being interviewed by Carson Daily? All the guys in the two bands are joking around and having a good time then Carson brings up Box Car Racer and Mark doesn't look like he wants to be there? Poor Mark, the whole thing looks super awkward in retrospect.

  10. Yeah that was pretty painful

  11. Everyone trying not to laugh or cringe is painful.

  12. "It sounds like Quicksand or The Refused."

  13. Tom was always the worst at describing what his music sounded like. Pretty sure he said BCR was like Fugazi at one point

  14. I wiiiiish BCR had sounded more like Quicksand. Not enough Quicksand influence out there.

Anyone remember the awkward moment between mark and billy, on the pop disaster tour diary? When they’re just standing there and no one knows what to say?

  16. Yes! Hahahaha. Green Day obviously had it out for Blink on that tour.

Haha yeah Billie says something like "Good show" and Mark goes "Was it Billie? Was it really?".

Yeah Green Day definitely played with a chip on their shoulder doing that tour. Like Billie said in that TRL clip they hadn't really done anything big in years so this was their chance to try to take back that "Punk" mantle.

  21. And they *did* show them up every night. Incredible live show.

  22. yup. my friend and i went there to see Blink, and half way during their set we were thinking about maybe leaving, haha. Green Day slaughtered Blink.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

It just bummed me out that interview where Green Day trashed blink around that time. I prefer Billie Joe/Skiba shouting out each others stuff in these current times lol

  24. It’s May be the Darker side of pop culture,” says Green Day singer-guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong, referring to the corner of melodic punk that his band and Blink-182 occupy in the music world. Appropriately, the bands have titled this eight-week trip – the first time these two have traveled together – the Pop Disaster Tour. “We’re going to be bringing out our big production,” says Armstrong. “We’re going to be biting heads off bats.”

For Blink’s set, bassist Mark Hoppus promises a stage show with “a bunch of fire and cool lights to distract people from our poor musical performance.”

Still a hilarious line though from Mark.

  25. Hahaha he was probably just joking because that's how they always talked about themselves, but... he's not wrong... haha.

Also, Jason! I finally watched the Batman vs TMNT movie. It was so good!
