Just purely speculating, but what do you all think the chances are of the Lil Wayne tour being cancelled? I don't think this is likely to happen, but some thoughts I had last night...

1) The shows are selling terribly at this point
2) blink's new album is still a while from being finished

Blink has a history of cancelling shows/tours as well. I believe their 2011 European tour was completely cancelled so they could wrap up Neighborhoods.

Needing time to finish the new album could be the reason publicly given to cancel/postpone the tour, but low ticket sales would ultimately be the driver. Just trying to spark up some discussion haha.

I don't see that happening or even being discussed right now. Tickets have been on sale for what 2 weeks? I think they'll be fine even with the high ticket prices. You'll see them, the label and the individual markets really ramp up promotion for those shows as they get closer, plus having the album out would definitely help.

The European tour was cancelled because they were way under deadline for Neighborhoods and only had a handful of songs actually written at that point. They ended up writing After Midnight, Kaleidoscope and I believe Wishing Well and/or Natives during those sessions when they were actually all in the room together. Side note can you imagine how bad Neighborhoods would have been without those songs? That was their biggest and only tour they cancelled that wasn't due to injury/sickness.

Right now the new album is in the mixing stages and should be completed in the next week or so, you'd think.

 

Very surprised, but I wouldnt mind getting my $375 back and not missing out on anything.

 

I don't think there's a chance unless something insane or tragic happens. Theres so much money going to be tied up in the tour that many people wouldn't be getting paid. Both blink and Lil Wayne are planning on new releases too. They're going to capitalize on that.

 

Speaking of Lil Wayne...caught his cameo appearance on SNL with DJ Khaled.....Kahled's entire performance was super weird and repetitive as shit, but not gonna lie....it was pretty cool seeing Lil Wayne on there haha. Out of everyone that Khaled had on preform with him, Lil Wayne was the most unique. Except John Legend, of course.
