I think that’s my hottest blink take. The take that the last two albums would be better if Tom didn’t sound like he had marbles in his mouth isn’t a hot take. Boy do the songs suffer for it though.

I have never understood the love for Not Now

 

I'm not sure liking blink and not liking Not Now is mathematically possible. To me it's p much a dictionary definition of a blink song. Minus back and forth vocals it pretty much has it all. Heavy powerchord riff. All over the place crazy intricate fast drumming. Nice little harmonies on the prechorussy part/last chorus. I also actually think it's the last song Tom ever used his "old voice" on cos he's in the high shouty register instead of his weird low AVA one where he's trying to sing "properly".

Okay new discussion is what’s the best b-side?

 

Boring lyrics, basic Tom vocal melody, severe lack of Mark ... it’s more of an early AVA song than a Blink song. It being a one off saved it and gave it a life of its own because it’s one of those songs really only die hard Blink fans know even exists. I think that props it up. But as a song ... meh. Give me something like “Easy Target” any day of the week. (Disclosure: I don’t really like AVA for the same reasons I don’t like this song, so it all goes hand in hand.)
