Why is medicine and health care in the US such absolute fucking trash? Hard enough on a good day, unbearable when you've only got one working hand and leg + two catheters

The American healthcare system is definitive proof that America is a growing, festering cesspool. Like when you cannot provide basic healthcare to your citizens and allow insurance companies and medical care providers to an open buffet of the citizens’ finances, then you are a failed state.

 

You know how occasionally massive albums will drop without any singles before it? I’d love to see a big blockbuster movie have a release date but never put out a trailer. Like did Endgame or the next Star Wars really need one when people were going to watch them either way?

 

I come in contact with the system a ton since 2016 when I started transitioning and it literally has never gotten easier. Companies provide the wrong forms and I only find out when they reject them. Someone writes down the wrong date and I have to make 4 calls to fix it. Appts get cancelled without my knowledge and for no reason but someone fucked up(still never got an answer on that one). Does this place take Medi-cal, yes but I need a referral and no this paper Rx isn't enough, bring these 5 forms to our office we're open until 430 (lol). Need a refill, cool do it online get a confirmation number and.....nothing never filled. Try again and wait on hold with for the pharmacist for a half hour

And everything is still fucking faxed, beeyotch I hardly have access to a printer

What would be really cool is if they stopped showing you a summary of the movie instead of a trailer...dammit.

 

Trailers have always been like in a way, it’s only been in recent years that the studios said fuck it and just spell out the movie for you.

 

It's so weird watching older trailers. They seem so different to me. Maybe it's the tone? Idk

 

That’s not true. Look at the trailers of the 90’s/early 2000’s that have a god damn narrator telling you the whole thing.

But trailers do go through phases. For a long while it was old songs covered to sound dark and brooding. I feel like that’s on its way out though. Not sure what the current trend would be

 

The Cloverfield movies kind of did this. The first sequel was announced really shortly before it was in theaters. And the 2nd sequel was announced like 3 hours before it was on Netflix.

 

The other day me and the wife watch the trailers for every batman movie and it's a very interesting ride. One trailer had the most confusing editing and it was just awful.
