Yeah I didn't remember the lyrics to "Pretty Little Girl" that well so I looked them up and this is some of the worst writing about sex I've ever read. I feel pain for him.

  3. Sometimes you want Macklemore. We've all been there.

You know, I'm pretty sure I've never actually heard Macklemore. Heard of him, never actually heard him.

  5. I pretend "Everything's Magic" is about sex too. Just cause it makes the song better. Hahahah. Not by much mind you.

I'm shocked that I've listened to this album multiple times and didn't once think "I wonder what Tom's vocals would have sounded like instead of Skiba's here." I was concerned it would distract me leading up to the album, but they did a hell of a job with this record.

Hold up, I find it really crazy that you found it impossible to comprehend how I, or others in this thread, could like California less than other Blink albums yet you feel this way about Untitled.

You're still misunderstanding what I was saying completely. I didn't see how there could be such a large gap between California and their older albums, since sonically they're pretty similar. That's....not the same situation at all...

Imagine if they knew it was Mark who decided to bring in co-writers and make it radio friendly.

So is Rabbit Hole really the only song that curses? If so, is this the Blink album with the least amount of them?

I think on Neighborhoods there were only 2 songs and Untitled only has 3 songs as well (if shit is considered bad).. DED had 0

I could be wrong, I just tried to do it quickly in my head

Imagine if they knew how much external "help" previous blink albums had that they don't know about. It wasn't as accepted to talk about it before at all (it's kinda still not apparently).

Yeah that's great except for I never once said there was a large gap between California and their older albums. I simply said that it was probably going to end up being my least favorite and that I'm admittedly a bit irritated (with myself!) that, musically, I've much preferred recent AVA stuff to California considering what a tool Tom has been on social media lately. Below is my exact post...

Look I'm not trying to harp on this shit, its just a bit irritating when it's implied that my feelings towards a particular piece of music are not possible.

Be irritated then. Since you seem continually set on taking my posts in the worst way possible, and frankly were a bit of a dick earlier in this thread, it's hard for me to give much of a shit.

I feel like I had a breakthrough with California today. I was indifferent about it after a few listens but today on about my 6th listen I caught myself singing along to just about the whole album and singing loud. Los angeles is probably my favourite track. Matt is terrific on this and I hope he becomes a permanent part of blink.

"Sand Diego" is officially my favorite track so far. Matt is just so damn good on the chorus and bridge of that one.

I'd have to say my favorites are LA, Sober, Home, and Left Alone.

    Rant begins:
Finally back from the weekend in Portland. Naturally this leaked right after I left to drive there on Friday, so I didn't get a chance to listen until tonight. I did listen through a couple times now though, and I mostly love it. Home Is Such A Lonely Place immediately grabs me, as does Los Angeles and San Diego. I'd read some of the polarized LA talk and was expecting to like it less but loved it... Haha. Hoping some of the "throw-back" tracks will click more with me on subsequent listens, because right now they're my least favorites on the album. Also not a fan of California at all, let alone as the closer. It sounds like the theme song to one of those "visit California" commercials. All-in-all, much to enjoy and hopefully even more with some time.
    End rant.
