I still really want there to be no single ruler or throne at all, but I hope no matter what happens they do have him involved more because his superpower can be as OP as it needs to once the audience isn’t entering into it.

 

From a pure ruling standpoint he definitely would be the "best" at it. But he obviously does not want it in the least bit so he'd have to basically just be kind of a puppet ruler where someone actually does all the King-stuff but then just turns and asks Bran what to do lol.

That is basically what Bloodraven was before he became the actual 3ER...he was the King's Hand and everyone said he basically ran the kingdoms because he was a sorcerer who knew things no man could possibly know.

 

Why didn’t they bring that up in the show?!

 

Yeah if it ends as democracy or at least some sort of republican-aristocracy situation where the lords act as representatives of the lands they rule and vote on things, it would def make sense to have Bran be a part of that. I mean, what else is he gonna do at this point? lol

I think they just cut it down for simplicity's sake unfortunately. One of the many storylines sacrificed for the sake of simplicity and time. Though you don't even really hear TOO much about that in the actual ASOIAF series, you get a lot of that info from the World of Ice and Fire and the Dunk N Egg short stories. Fire & Blood 2 will definitely have a lot of that too, since he was a super important part of the Blackfyre Rebellions and dealing with them.

In the books, that season we got where BRan and Hordor and Meera weren't there is basically just Bran sitting around in the cave learning some things. They gave him the Luke Skywalker before ROTJ treatment because it DOES get a little boring at times unless you're really into some of the lore haha. But also they kinda just mention that he's Bryden Rivers aka Bloodraven, IIRC they don't get too much into his backstory.

Jon winning the throne and giving it to Sansa would be my ideal scenario tbh.

 

This is the first and probably last time i've ever endorsed a spin-off but I would love an Arya spin-off where she's just traveling around everywhere.

 

Does Sansa really want the throne either? I feel like she only gives a fuck about the north.

 

Nobody Wants to Rule the World

 

Game of Thrones + One Piece = Arya spinoff. Just traveling around with Brienne, Pod, Ghost, and Hot Pie.

 

Some parts of this aged really well and some aged hilariously. You can really see how much the pace has botched it when you read a piece like this that was well before it happened. And a crack about “sex pirates” not being a lasting impression of the show is too on the nose funny after this season.

 

I keep forgetting that Gwendoline really did blow that she and lots of others survive in that one interview. At least I can’t imagine the last episode having another mass death wave. I’ll have to go back and rewatch how awkward she gets knowing it wasn’t a fakeout.

 

Brienne can be Zoro. Pod can be Nami. Ghost is Chopper. Hot Pie is.....Brook. Bring in Daario to be Sanji. Boom. @HBO hmu

 

I miss Hot Pie.

 

I always thought the Dragon Stone throne looked soooo much better. Since the Iron throne is probably melted, maybe she'll just take to that one?
