Idk, it's just both musical & lyrical nothing. Absolutely nothing about California grabs me. Not even enough for me to say I dislike it, I just feel so ambivalent about it, which is a worse crime.

NOTE: The song, not the album

It's just funny how much Brad despises Bottom of the Ocean and California lol

I said it before and I’ll say it again.

I like California and will defend it because of Skiba’s firey backup vocals in the final choruses

  9. I know Scott isn’t in the Wraith anymore but I saw this today and giggled. Sid from Toy Story is a true fan. 504DE700-C3A8-4EA5-95A8-3F4BC5404A40.jpeg

  10. Maybe they aren’t “bad songs” but yeah I can’t stand those 2. Haha.

  11. If some backup vocals at the end of the song are it’s one saving grace, that says a lot about the song as a whole, in my opinion. Haha.

But to each their own! Xo

California isn’t a horrible song, but it isn’t a very good song either.

I just listened through California again, and wow, it's full of absolute bops. They kind of tried to do everything on that album, so some songs were executed better than others, but no two sound the same, so it's not even that much of an issue.

Also, BIOMY sounds better in the context in the context of that album if that makes? Like I dislike it in the context of Untitled & Neighborhoods-era blink, but it sounds fine in the the context of Matt-blink? Still think the intro sounds a bit weird, but it's still cool

My 6 six year old nephew loves BIOMY. First Blink song I've gotten him to sing along to and he's keeping it on repeat lol.

In a new interview on @kroq, @travisbarker said quite a few interesting things. Here are the key takeaways:
    • 90% of the new blink-182 album, including Blame It On My Youth, started with a drum beat. According to Travis, this approach helps crafting diverse songs.
    • The new album "is coming so soon. I don't even wanna tell you guys what we're doing right now."
    • Some songs off of the new album are reminiscent of the untitled record and are "definitely far different than California".
    • A dear friend of his he's known for over 20 years is working on the album art.
