Also the number one most important rule if you have to name your kid after a fictional character is wait until the story is finished.

Catelyn could just be someone who wanted a unique spelling

My cousin named his kid after Arya but they botched the spelling. It’s upsetting on many levels.

 

Possible, but I hadn't heard that spelling until GoT. At the very least is massively popularized it. I feel like even if it wasn't meant to be associated with the character, most people would associate it with her.

 

It’s, uh, worse than that. They sort of split the difference between both words/names.

It's kind of better that way - inspired by a character you liked but not a direct copy. We first heard our daughter's name on the movie Winter's Tale.

This is refreshing. So many people upset about so many things. At the end of the day, it's just a TV show. I've been entertained, and that's enough for me. I'll read the last 2 books if/when they come and be fine with whatever happens.

 

Agreed. Some people are downright being complete assholes about how the show has turned out. I had someone straight up tell me my standards were shit cause I've been enjoying the show.

 

I saw an interview with Sophie Turner where she said she thought it ended well. Whether that means Sansa survives (and Jon and/or Dany do not) is of course uncertain. My money is on Sansa surviving, and at least one of the Targaryens dying.

 

I feel like everyone who is not currently near KL has a good chance of surviving, unless of course there’s some last second red wedding kind of thing after the battle seems over.
