  1. How do the Grizz keep winning? Their roster is so bad on paper right now.

My guess is they are just feeding ZBo in the paint, running a half-court offense. Their bench probably runs through Lance. Lance and Farmar have every reason to play harder than most other players right now. They have Barnes and Allen to defend wings. Vince Carter is still rolling. They are not a good team right now, but they have guys that can defend and have chips on their shoulders. If they play a bad team or any team does not show up engaged, it spells disaster.

Vince still looked damn good against the C's recently.

I find this Celtics team really interesting. I think this summer will be a crossroads for Danny Ainge. Does he break this core up or does he parlay some of the picks and core for something? I think I know the answer, but the fact that the Celtics are ahead of schedule in their progression makes the decision more tricky. I think Brad Stevens is well respected, but he has mostly coached players he coached against in college. He hasn't had to take on a big personality/star, so the player's buy-in has been more palatable. I think we all know this summer will be the closest thing we get to living in the wild west, but the Celtics are a team I am excited to watch.

Having Brooklyn's pick this year is the biggest wild card. A pick that high could add the kind of scorer we need right away.

No doubt, Boston made some slick trades to acquire high-end picks, namely Brooklyn. The Nets have been left with nothing to show. In terms of cap, Boston is really positioned like a bottom five team, but performing as a playoff team. Ainge is already one of the more creative GM's when it comes to trades and now he's is operating with more than just cap leverage. There is not a bad contract on their books. With the cap spike this year and next, their roster is a bunch a seriously diminishing assets. I see them as a prime third team in a trade because they can provide well below market assets that actually provide value on the court. Sam Hinkie will be pissed he can't make some of the trades Boston will have the opportunity to make. Philly should get in on some action, but I just think the Boston roster is pretty unique.

Yeah I hate how attached I am to a lot of these players because I know any of them could be gone next year.

  8. Bucks / Cavs and Clippers / GS tonight. Hopefully these are some good ones.

I am going to wear some wine and gold blinders for a second and sate that for as much as LBJ does complain to refs, most of the time he has a point. He gets clobbered laying the ball up with no call. Meanwhile, Henson initiates contact over the top of the defense and gets the call. I don't understand how NBA refs operate. I only really know how the high school and NCAA rule are to be interpreted. I just needed to get that out.

Pick and rolls are a nightmare with Giannis. His arms are so damn long it doesn't really matter if you stay with him.

  15. I think Redick should be in the most improved conversation this year.

  16. The Clippers bench is pure garbage.

I kind of been thinking that since one of his years in Orlando. I always liked him as a player, but that was when my love affair of sorts with his game started. The year before he got traded and the year he did, I really wanted Cleveland. I still want him in Cleveland haha. I don't really know what goes into that particular award, but for anyone who is into the NBA at more than the surface level, they should know everything that goes into him being a serviceable player, let alone a borderline all star. And for someone who came up into the ranks of basketball the way he has, that's crazy to see him be the all hustle guy that outworks you.

  23. Would you say Kemba is int he conversation as well?

  24. McCollum, Barton, Redick, Walker ... probably my list right now.
