if the Cure play, Blink 182 and Raconteurs are the other 2 headliners I'd think

Oh yeah I'm definitely really stoked to see them in Cleveland, their Riot sets are always special though!

shit I hit reply twice, so uhm, here's to reminding the Riot bookers that Toadies Rubberneck album came out 25 years ago:-)

also if there's only one of the smaller stages this year, it should be named after Kendrick Castillo.. Denver student that gave his life 3 days before graduating high school to save his fellow classmates, and there's nothing more fucking punk rock than that

Well, there's some interesting talk going on in there...

I'm not sure why that one person is saying Green Day would be a 2nd wave announcement.

The Crystal Method feel pretty likely.

Hard pass on the Toadies for me, haha.

I really hope they have more than one small stage this year. It would be a cheap way to fill-in the undercard and allow for more bands on the "smaller" tip (bands in the realm of H2O, MxPx, the Suicide Machines and the like who probably wouldn't play before 2pm on the main stage and would have to play later in the day on a second stage).

Suicide Machines are playing 350 Fest fwiw, but yes on the 2 small stages.. I always thought adding an unplugged/acoustic/spoken word stage along with the other small stage would be pretty cool.

I think if they bury one of the headliners, that would (most likely) mean they are trying to get another big reunion together. I hope we get 3 headliners in the initial announcement this year and avoid all of that drama

(in response to that guy on reddit saying a Dookie play would be a second wave announcement)

I was just using them as an example, but yeah... I feel like the undercard could be way stronger with the addition of more acts on the smaller tip.

I'm honestly not sure how I'd feel about an unplugged/acoustic or a spoken word/comedy stage. It would be a cool value-add, but I find Riot Fest to be pretty crowded already in terms of conflicts. I love having it at my local festival (Boston Calling) because there's usually only 3-4 bands on my "must-see list" each day (at max) so having the option to be indoors where there's A/C and I get to see some comedians I like? Really nice break.

Yeah, the whole "????" on the top line was stressful. Really hoping they don't do that again. And I just straight-up have no idea why they'd think Dookie would be a second announcement, hah. I could see them announcing whoever and then the album play at a later date, though. That's how they usually do it.

Gorilla Biscuits sighting, among other stuff. Personally I'm pulling for OFF! over Flag for Riot Fest and hoping we get Redd Kross as a bonus

I did a horrible job trying to explain that I meant it more as a stage you can put next to the small stage to use as an alternate, but obviously I'd be happy with the old 2 small stage setup... I'm posting too much and taking a hiatus until the lineup comes out, until then peace and love

Ten Foot Pole mentioned yet? Sorry if they were! Just got this email:

Definitely possible, and I don't think they've been mentioned yet... Would be a solid add to the second stage.

I almost said they were at 350 Fest but that's Pulley, hah.

Babymetal is out, they'll be in Chicago 9/20.

I won't be on the line-up either. Turns out, my stupid cousin's wedding is that same stupid weekend in California. So unless I pull an Incubus and fly-in for Sunday...

Still looking forward to seeing how the line-up pans out. But I'm really hoping this isn't the year that Operation Ivy happens.

    Whatever. Forever.

Yea the new job I have is making it impossible to go, also hoping this isn't the year Op Ivy or My Chem come back. Super excited for the job so not a big loss for me though.

Since you can’t be there, Op Ivy confirmed!

But at least if it did actually happen (even though I realize it probably won’t), every other reunion headliner has gone onto play more shows afterwards so maybe they would too.

Someone on reddit theorized the lineup might drop on the 15th, being that this is their 15th anniversary. Doubtful, but kind of a missed opportunity if they don't do that.

I think they’ve dropped it on that same Wednesday before.

I would love if The Claypool Lennon Delirium played. Never seen Sean Lennon perform before but think it would be really cool to see, and to see Les Claypool perform too. I loved their latest album they put out.

Didn’t they have some truly terrible lyrics that went viral recently, or am I remembering something else?

Epicenter and Sonic Temple were both offering $1 tickets to get people in the door? The festival market in the US is just oversaturated right now. And the fans who ended up paying full price will be pissed off. They paid hundreds and now a 3 day ticket is $3. Hope everything goes well for RF.
