Or "the vocals are too auto-tuned for me now" or "they wrote these songs too fast" (unless they think every album should take almost a year to write like Untitled which would be insane lol.)

 

If someone can listen to an album 5 or 10 times, it's probably not that bad.

 

There's a massive difference between editing the vocals and autotune. And there's nothing wrong with autotune either. Plus have they heard Tom's TOYPAJ voice? Doesn't even sound real at moments

 

I wouldn't say they're "made up", more just straight up wrong. Still, why even start down the road of questioning the validity of people's criticisms? If they're dumb, they're dumb. If they're laughably off base, so be it. But if you're starting from a place of "people are making up reasons to dislike it", that feels like going out of your way to police people's feelings on an album to me. You could say anything anyone says is made up, it doesn't add anything substantial to a discussion though.

 

I would really love to hear a "remastered version" of Neighborhoods with great production.

 

I have always liked Neighborhoods a lot but I really wonder how much I'll listen to it after I hear all of this. Right off the top of my head I can't imagine ever listening to Love Is Dangerous, This Is Home or Snakecharmer ever again.

 

I did say you can either like it or dislike it, but it's wrong for people to be spreading false criticisms that are completely off base. I wanna have intelligent discussions in this thread, not people nit picking and saying stuff that makes you scratch your head, kind of like reddit.

 

From the three songs I heard, I believe I'll love this album. Heck my friend who disliked those same three songs loves the rest of the album. I think everyone needs to stop being nitpicky and just enjoy the music cause.....everything's gonna be fine ;)

Always wanted Tom to sing the Snake Charmer bridge live. Might have been... erk.

 

Is it bad that I really love 11 out of 14 songs from Neighborhoods? It's still a great album in my mind.

 

I could probably do without that too. Lol nothing has changed how I feel really too much about past blink, but some of the production on Neighborhoods will probably stick out worse after I hear California. Neighborhoods is a big fall album for me and that's mostly the only time I listen to it, so this shouldn't compete with it too much since this is such a summer album lol.

 

Neighborhoods is okay, but to me they're clearly more in their element on this one.

 

I'm actually pretty surprised by this. His voice seems like the kind of voice you would hate.

 

The biggest problem with the Neighborhoods is the production. If Feldmann had produced it, the songs would sound much fuller and bigger and the songs would've been fleshed out a little bit more. I already like songs like "After Midnight" and "Kaleidoscope" from that album, and I would kill to have heard those songs reach their full potential.

 

The first few seconds of No Future remind me of Up & Go by The Starting Line. I enjoy the album. Was always just a casual blink fan.

 

Haha, it's weird but I really do like his voice. Especially on the untitled/Box Car Racer stuff. I also think he and Mark work very well together vocally but almost all of my favorite blink songs are Tom led.

 

And he would've made them write a bridge with vocals! Haha

I always felt like an outcast when it comes to this type of thinking :/ I really don't have 'summer' and 'fall' Albums or the like. I like what I like and I listen to it any time of the year day or night. It's kind of odd I guess lol

 

same here. only songs i regularly revisit though are after midnight, up all night, and even if she falls.

 

Still haven't listened to the album yet...I'm dying inside.

 

I know, I spoke blasphemy about blink in the blink thread.

We can hate on Tom all we want, still won't make this album any good. Hopefully everything is resolved one day so we can get decent music from this band again.

 

I was down the Jersey Shore yesterday and wore my Blink shirt I got at the show the other night and I has at least 8 or 9 people come up to me asking how the show went/how Skiba was. Was not expecting that, kind've cool to see so many people still care about them.

 

I just find something about Tom charming, even when he's writing awful music and making terrible decisions. I really hope he finds those aliens.
