On my 5th listen, and it’s finally registering how good these songs are

The melody at the start of Married In the Gold Rush is the most underrated part of the album so far

I think “Rich Man” is probably the most vintage VW song on here. Feels very Paul Simon, short banger, and has some of that baroque (?) pop influence too

Agreed. I think “Bambina” and “Rich Man” are the most familiar tunes.

    Maybe so, maybe not.

    Adding to this, via Reddit:

I didn’t see any cameras in Buffalo but the crowd was mic-ed. It seems like every show so far has been recorded in some capacity.

  14. Someone will definitely rip that. And that makes me even more sure it'll get an official or semi-official release sometime too

Unbearably White through Married In a Gold Rush is a perfect 3 song run

I tried to find my favorite stretch on the album but I kept adding more songs to front and back of it so I guess it's impossible

Also I’m sure y’all have talked about this but his ability to write melodies is nuts. Every single song has at least one moment that could compete for best melody on the album.

listened to this a few mores times today and I really don't like harmony hall or we belong together but love pretty much everything else now.

Ezra on the new episode of REM talking a lot about the concept and music on the record, fairly insightful and very funny
