I meant more musically than lyrically.

 

This might be the best usage of Matt and Mark together in a song yet. Their vocals are distinct in the verses, and yet harmonize quite well at the end. Instead of feeling like a your turn/my turn kind of thing this feels meshed just right.

 

Do we have a "I miss tom" yet? Or is that the free space?!

 

The major difference for me too is that you can really distinguish their voices on their parts a lot more here than on the last album.

 

The drumming is also very good on this but that’s no surprise

 

First impression: fucking AWESOME. Kinda like Down of 2019. Now to catch up on 7 pages of takes. Merry Christmas everyone!

 

I hope they abandon real drums/guitar all together.

This may sound weird, but it kinda reminds me of "Feeling This" of 2019. The melody and jolt of freshness gives me that vibe.

Is there a 'Sounds like AVA' or 'Sounds like Alkaline Trio' spot?

 

What is with the real instruments lol the whole song has guitar bass and drums. That’s wild to me.

Can you imagine what it would be like if someday Tom co-wrote a new Blink song? Not a feature or anything, necessarily, but just a co-write credit. I don't think the internet would even know how to respond.

 

I like it! Different than what I was expecting. They captured a nostalgic feeling that I think they were going for (and IMO mostly didn’t land) on California

 

Any guesses on the album release? I'd predict Late June?

 

I've listened to this fucking song like 10 times in a row... I need to give it a break before I ruin it for myself before the album comes out.

 

I think it's intentionally like that and basically just vocal driven like most pop music. It'll actually be interesting to see how a "heavier" version with louder guitars might sound live.

 

Seriously though. I want them to go full pop.

 

I didn't hate Rebel Girl but I can't imagine still being like "blink needs Tom back", this feels so much fresher.

My first inclination was like "kinda wish the guitar was more prominent" but then was just like is it needed? Not really the song is good as is.

It doesn't blow me away, first listen I thought the "blame it, blame it" and the "OH!" remind me too much of other pop stuff that I dislike but they make it work.

And Skiba sounds great.

 

I want to say June 21st. But I wouldn't be surprised at all if they push it back to mid-late July.

 

Based on Mark's weird guitarless dancing in the Simple Creatures video I'm gonna say no thank you haha.

 

I hope they drop it on blink-182 day.
