How about Skiba on this track? that acapalla part is my favorite!

    Wish there was more guitar.

    Too much Matt.

    It's too poppy.

Tom would never do this to Blink.

    What was the producer thinking?!

Just getting them out of the way. I love this song lol

On first listen, it's an interesting direction, I want to hear what the whole record is like and how this fits into it.
Lucky where I live the weather is pretty much summer all year so I can jam this even though it's the end of "autumn"

  4. Love that they basically mimicked what would classically of been a guitar riff to open the song, electronically.

  5. Kinda gives me NFG ‘coming home’ era meets 2019 trend vibes.

really hoping the entire album leans in this pop direction. I like this song, but I'd LOVE a whole record like it.

It’s alright! I’m hoping there’s songs on the full album I’m more into, but this is pretty catchy.

I also gave AVA's new song a chance. I love basically every Angels and Airwaves song until Tom sings lol. Sonically, he writes some catchy shit that hits me and then his voice/lyrics just take me right out of it again.

I’m just waiting for the tears of the complainers that it doesn’t sound like their old stuff, when just last album they were complaining that it sounds too much like their old stuff

Haven't heard the song yet but that 30 second clip sounds pretty cool to me, can't wait to hear the rest.

Wow. I'd love a "Coming Homesque" record so much.

Definitely! If they wanted to, they could replace that distorted "blame it on my youth" with some octave chords and then have the guitar lead. Kinda like that they didn't do that.

I've been singing blaming it blaming it on racoons.

  16. This fits enough that if we all do it at shows it may just work.

  17. I haven't read through this thread yet, but I can assume it's got everything you want.

At least from that 30 second clip, that verse guitar is sooo definitively blink to me. Probably more so than anything I've heard from them in a while.

    Mark Verse:

I wasn’t born with the rich blood,
I started out with plenty of nothing at all.
I got stuck in the thick mud,
the flash flood, punk rock, and the alcohol.

    I was raised on a re-run,
I was bored to death so I started a band.
Cut my teeth on a safety dance,
my attention span never stood a chance.
It’s too late….can you forgive me now?

    Matt Chorus:
You can never kill my heart.
I’m the ink and you’re the headline.
    Blame, blame on my youth.
    Blame, blame on my youth.

You can never ? my shine,
    only once it’s 1999.
    Blame, blame on my youth
    Blame, blame on my youth

    Matt Verse:
I wasn’t made for the good life,
I ended up getting stuck on the side of the road.
I tripped and fell on hard times,
the tough breaks are the only kind I know.

I was left on a door step.
I was scared to death with nowhere to go.
Cut myself on the neighbor’s fence,
that I hopped as the cops tried to take me in.
It’s too late, can you forgive me now?

    Chorus

    Bridge:
I was raised on the Ritalin?
ever since I was a little kid.
no one else seemed to give a shit
    I don’t need an excuse.
    I don’t need an excuse.

    Chorus

    Outro:
Endless summer. Stretching on and on.
