What's the difference between RTS and turn based?

 

Well it's all in the name. Real time strategy games means the games happen in real time so all of your actions and characters are moving in real time. Turn based means you have a set number of moves or actions you can take per turn.

 

Real Time Strategy means that while you are producing/managing units/base the CPU/opponent is as well, and involves a lot of micro-management in higher level play.

Turn Based includes a known turn order in which you command your units, usually don't involve an actual base when it comes to combat, and there's usually a limit to how many actions you can take per turn

The difficulty curve for RTS are pretty high whereas I've found turn based games to be much more forgiving.

 

Finally played Gone Home since I got it through PS+ for this month. Fucking loved it.

 

Been obsessively watching TableTop with Wil Wheaton the past 2 days and have to say I think this may be my favorite so far.

 

So quick question regardin the PS4: I know I need an internet connection to download games, but do I need it to install as well? Fallout 4 is installing now and its taking ages, only took me like 30 minutes to download it.

 

You technically just purchased it and it is waiting to download. You then need to download it and depending upon your connection, it could take some time. My recommendation regarding the PS4 is to hardwire it.

 

I think I'm almost done. I just got out of the main secret passage area that leads to an upstairs area I hadn't previously visited.

i spent way too much time on AC Syndicate yesterday and today. I have conquered Whitechapel, Lambeth, Southwark, and City of London. I'm about done with The Thames as well, then The Strand and Westminster will be left. I'm on Sequence 6 of 8. Not done with the side missions or collectibles either.

 

My last post was messed up for some reason but it is a very long game. But it is a good one.

 

Nah I got it. I don't have the gold edition. Maybe I'll get the season pass. I'm probably going to get the Watch_Dogs 2 Gold Edition.

I also got Trials Fusion today and I love that game so yeah. haha. I had the $10 in credit from MS so I only had to pay $11 for it. I used to have it on Xbox 360 (traded in since I was done with it) so I got it on XB1 now. It's nice to see that they added the option to have a female driver.

 

I have yet to play a Trials game but I have heard they are fun. I might check out Trials of the Blood Dragon. You reminded me that I need to preorder Watch Dogs 2.

 

I need to go back to Syndicate. I enjoyed it when I was playing. But anything on my Xbox I tend to forget I have. At the end of a bunch of games on it haha. So bad at that.

 

I went to gamestop today thinking I could get the AC Ezio Trilogy for cheap but nope the trilogy costed like $25 still. I was confused by that price.

 

I keep telling myself I should get Sleeping Dogs and Dishonored and then talking myself out of it because my backlog is too big and they aren't high priority. Eventually...

 

Both are great games - took me a long time to pick them up as well. I got them during a nice sale a month or so ago.

 

Hahaha, Homefront: The Revolution has already had a price cut on Xbox One from £54.99 to £32.99.

 

The AC games always seem to keep a high price point for quite a while but $25 is still really good for 3 games that will give you 100+ hours of gameplay.

Oh ok. I was going to say both of those games have been GwG on the ONE.

 

Then maybe now is a good time to sign up for Uplay. They'll be giving away free stuff for the next 30... days or weeks. I can't remember. But a bunch of free games. First is Prince of Persia (one of the good ones if I recall)

 

They are all pretty good from what I remember, even the one based upon the movie!
