I honestly should get into biking. I'll be living close enough to work to do that instead of driving my car every day.

 

It’s gonna suck in the middle of summer and winter dealing with bad weather every day, but what doesn’t tbh

 

I would bike to work if I lived closer. Honestly owning a car kinda sucks ass

 

People who cycle around Pittsburgh are crazy.

 

If I get the apartment I want, I’ll be 2 miles from work with multiple bike paths to and from there. Would be tight.

 

I've ridden a bike maybe 5 times since 2004

 

What about in 2003?

 

I was 15 so I was riding that shit everyday

Yeah I wouldn’t bike there. Atlanta may be hilly but Pittsburgh is built on actual mountains lol. Plus the constant snows in the winter.

Cities in the southeast are definitely the most practical places to use a bike as a primary form of transportation

 

Yeah 2 Miles is nothing on a bike. Not even 10 minutes unless you have to stop at a lot of city intersections. If it’s a flat or downhill 2 Miles it’s definitely easier than walking or driving.

 

Yup, last time I rode a bike I went a bit over a mile and didn’t even realize it.

 

Now if you’re going uphill. Even a quarter mile is hell hahaha

I’m getting used to it but damn. Some of these long ass hills make you want to quit. But you can’t cause you still gotta ride back home so you might as well get up that thing lol

I’m a compulsive person, so usually me not wanting to leave anything unfinished is a good motivator when it gets tough. “Im not about to just go 3/4 of the way up this hill and stop.” Lol

 

After I started working from home, we moved close enough to my wife's work that she nows does that. We might collectively fill our gas tanks a few times a month because we barely drive anymore

 

That’s the dream. Fortunately urban Atlanta that has transit access isn’t even 2/3 the price of DC hahaha so it’s more doable at my salary

 

Atlanta is so hilly haha. Kudos to you for making it work.

 

Hell yeah, I'm filling up my gas tank maybe once a month now and it's awesome.

Still spend a decent amount on Uber though if I have any drinks.
