So probably Blame It On My Youth will be another song similar to the majority of tracks from California, radio-friendly, to catch broader range of listeners. And the rest of album will be more experimental. But we will see tomorrow

 

90 minutes is perfect for my grandpa ass. Last night I saw four bands in under 4 hours, over before 11pm... happy grandpa

 

Have they been doing 90 minutes, though? I thought the last two times I saw them was around 70.

Either way, I'm gonna echo something that's been said in here before - they should drop Down for a deeper cut. That's the one single I don't think anyone in the crowd would notice was missing.

 

Yeah I get people being happy for like how long Green Day plays or Foo Fighters play but that's way too long for me lol. An hour 45 would be cool, I like to imagine Mark just doesn't think his voice can handle much more than he does, or some other good reason idk lol

 

2 hours top, yes. start at 9 - finish at 11. Im good.

 

During the instagram live thing yesterday someone asked if they'd play "Shut Up" and Mark said "No, it's a deep album cut."

Don't get your hopes up about the set changing or them playing anything but the "hits"

 

I mean it can't. Heh, he was lucky to avoid nodules just a little while ago.

 

Anything over 2 hours if there's an opening band, let alone another headliner, is literally hell for this grandpa too.

 

When I saw Glassjaw on a weeknight they played until like 11:30pm and I was literally dead

 

Sometimes I wish I could just go see the headline act. No supports, on at 19:30 done by 21:30. I saw Biffy Clyro play 2 of my favourite albums by them back to back with no support - one of my favourite ever gigs.

 

Walking to our car at 9pm after BTTB was a goddamn dream.

Re: marks voice, he used a vocal spray before Adams song in Vegas. I’d rather him do 50 great dates rather than 10 long shows and a forced hurdle/ delay

That said, they have a couple weeks off mid August which seems rad. Good for them

Relax dude. Most everyone going to their shows wants the hits and would sit there awkwardly as fuck during "Shut Up."

 

Let me be clear: do I WANT to watch a 3 hour blink set? You bet your ass! Can I/they do it? Not on your life.

 

(And "Shut Up" is bottom tier Blink anyway.)

“Shut Up” was my favorite song from TOYPAJ when I was 17/18, but now (as a grandpa), it’s pretty cringe and try-hard if I look at it now, sorryyyyy

 

Hour long shows seem to do it for me if the band changes up the set list regularly.

The last time i saw Bad Religion they played like 35 songs but it was great bc they play hits and deep deep cuts. Plus, most of their songs are like 2:00 minutes long lol. It’s great and a different experience everytime.

Bouncing Souls played 23 songs last night and it took them less than 80 min, fucking loved it
