  1. Those were the only ones that really held up for me, too. It’s a bummer because there are a bunch of great songs on there but the originals just don’t really allow for a ton of wiggle room in terms of arrangements. I think they did a much better job this time around if picking songs that they could really adapt and make their own

Man, I really like the second installment. I really loved the addition of the guest vocalists too

Glory of Love will always be one of my favorites. The live performance of it they did on Kimmel was great.

I have a feeling certain specific guests on II probably soured the memories a bit. Could be wrong.

Anyway, it was for the fans, and I think most people appreciate it and NFG. It was neat to see them bring in some guests.

Happy they are feeling unified for this one, and it’s fantastic.

Neverending Story Theme Song is my favorite from the first one.

  13. I never clicked with the first 2 cover records but I like this new one.

I also hadn't listened to NFG in like 2 years until literally this weekend.

  14. I wish the first one had #3’s production. Haha.

Agreed. Really enjoy the covers themselves, but the production is pretty rough nowadays. Didn’t give a shit when it first came out though lol

  16. And it was a big step up from NGCS.

  17. I definitely had a pretty emotional moment while listening to this in bed through headphones last Thursday, where I was sorta transported back to the night I had the original FTSTYS blasting through headphones for hoooours, laying on my bedroom floor after buying the CD. It was 2002 and I was 13. Can’t believe I’m turning 30 in a month and this band can still have the same effect on me

I can't say for sure, but Glory of Love and My Heart Will Go On might have been the first songs I ever heard from the band. This was before I really knew who they were. Weird. I think I even had them as "A New Found Glory" on my first ipod (ipod mini).

  20. It was the first time where I went "holy shit if they can get anywhere close to this on their next album they're going to be huge" ... and then I heard S/T and knew they were about to to explode. "Hit or Miss" was a great song but the moment they took it up production wise I knew they had "it."

That’s what they used to be called, so it makes sense.

So when was the first time everybody first heard NFG ? For me it was definitely back in middle school, I use to come home from school and watch Fuse all the time. Fuse was a place where I found a love for pop punk, that's how I got into the Alkaline Trio, Sum 41 and the Starting Line. But I'll never forget when the video for Dressed To Kill came on, I instantly fell in love with them. NFG pretty much became my new love like Blink did at that time

  23. I remember being at Kmart with my mom and seeing the self-titled album there. I’d never listened to them, but I knew that the Blink-182 guys were friends with them so I figured they must be cool. So I asked my mom to buy it for me and then the rest is history!

  24. Blank TV had the original version of the "Hit or Miss" video.

I bought the CD at Borders that night and fell in love. Then I heard the cover album and knew this was probably gonna be my new favorite band. Then came full on obsession.
