And yeah, Hip-Hop is the biggest genre in the world rn, I'm not disputing that. It's to the last decade (give or take the early 2010's) what alternative was to the 90's. Migos & Lil Pump are the Nirvana & Green Day of this era of music. Pop goes in and out of style as the zeitgeist changes and all that shit.

I was just saying usually there's some sort of hook, be it a chorus or instrumental line or even a part of the flow that ties it all together and makes it accessible.

I was going off what I hear on the radio/talked about on twitter/ talked about on here.

I hear a lot more about pop music than rap these days; so I assumed it had dethroned. I see I was off though!

Oh gosh, the 2009 reunion tour with Asher Roth, All American Rejects, and Fall Out Boy was a great show. Road tripped with my friends from Orlando to Tampa, tailgated, my older sister snuck me booze...I felt like the coolest high school senior from a 2000s teen movie. Thank you for the walk down memory lane.
