Great band, their live shows could use a guitar boost in the mix though, the backing tracks kind of drown them out, which kind of defeqts the purpose of a live show.

Save Rock & Roll is their best album, or at least tied with Folie à Deux.

Anyway I maybe know 2 or 3 Lil Wayne songs, I'm not a fan (although admittedly know next to nothing about him outside of his hits) but hey if he's going to open for blink I'll go in open minded. Much rather listen to a new artist I've never heard before and maybe will end up enjoying than have to sit through All Time Low again try to do their best blink-182 impression for example.

I'm all for different artists getting together and touring.

You do realize you’re talking to people who been fans of this band for many years, hell practically grew up with them and their music, and knows that all the points you’re bringing up are your own nitpicks that the majority of people don’t give a shit about, right? Maybe that kind of ridiculous thinking would’ve flown back in the AP days (probably not even then) but to think like that in 2019 is absurd and if it bothers you that bad that people are going to point that out to you, then I don’t really know what else to tell you.

I’d have thought I was the same on Wayne, then I listened to him for about an hour this morning and knew every song and they all were good. I think I don’t realize what permeates my world at times.

 

I would buy a Blink/Lil Wayne ticket so fast. I wouldn’t even hesitate.

Love me some Lil Wayne and I’m past due on seeing Blink again.

 

you're fine, I don't think Jason holds grudges or whatever, he regularly has arguments with people in the politics thread but at the end of the day we're all sort-of friends here even if we have a shit take one day lol

 

No animosity. Just am tired of the same factually wrong things being tossed out to support a narrative about the band that’s not true. (And I think pop punk fans complaining about rap is so 2002.)

 

Complaining about it is pointless. It’s one thing if it’s not your cup of tea, but it’s a legitimate form of art that is very popular

 

I don't think people have a problem with rap in particular, like, I love a lot of rap but blink touring with li'l wayne would make me *not* wanna go. However, I loved the Run The Jewels idea someone had.

 

Wayne touring with blink would actually make me want to go to that tour, probably their best touring artist in forever.

 

I was kinda bummed Travis didn’t play with either goldfinger or aquabats at BTTB only in that in the back of my mind I was like “fuck, can he not sustain that much playing anymore?”

Could be that, or the giant fucking cast on his broken ankle right now. Call me greedy. If he tours with Wayne, I wanna see him do 2 sets is all I’m saying. That’d be so sick.
