I very much wanted David Benioff to write another book after Game of Thrones was done. If you're looking for a good read that is a standalone I can't recommend City of Thieves enough.

 

That is pretty crazy, and likely as unique as the show passing the books.

Or what if Tyrion is the brother that kills her? I assume one of the two will choke her to death, since the rest of that prophecy has come true. Or, maybe the twist is that part not coming true?

 

The brother prophecy has been totally left out of the show so far, right?

 

I’m just fully expecting Jaime and Cersei to die side by side somehow lmao

 

The valonqar theory, yes. Maggy the Frog tells Cersei about it in the books, but she doesn't mention it in season 5 when we get the flashback scene. Closest we've come is Cersei's obsessive belief that Tyrion wants to kill her

 

Cersei definitely talks about visiting the witch in the show

 

She just mentioned the kid thing I thought.

Jaime killing her makes enough sense even if you’ve never heard of the theory before, so I hope it happens. Or someone brings her an elephant and suddenly she’s just happy and leaves in peace to hang out with it.

 

I think the show does a great job of showing how crazy dragons could be yet still presents them as animals, albeit gigantic, very powerful, fire-breathing ones. Like even though they can seriously turn the tide in many situations in battle, they are not invincible.

 

Poor poor Viserion. He deserved better. I hope he gets a proper funeral next week.

 

Im rewatching and I forgot how much time we spend with Bran.
I hope he has a payoff. If not, him and the night king will go down as two of my most WTF characters ever.

So if this show gets made like 8 years later, Bella Ramsey is Arya, isn’t she?

 

Its not that unique, I made a joke about it that no one really got yesterday but it happens in anime adaptations of manga all the time. Usually though I think those are much less mapped out than GRRM has this series

 

No disrespect to her, but she isn’t half the actress Maisie Williams is. I would think the show could find better.

 

I honestly have never seen her in anything else, but I thought she did good work on GOT for what she was given, and just gave me the same vibes of tiny ferocious brunette that does 'tomboy' very well lol

 

It’s been so long since I read manga. What are some examples of this happening?

 

The Fullmetal Alchemist anime in 03 went ahead and they remade it as FMA:Brotherhood after it finished and it was much more faithful. I think DBSuper is ahead rn, 99% sure it was at some point. I think it happens more now because they used to do filler not based on the manga to make up gaps but now usually the anime is the real product so they just get on with it. I'm sure there are more, I don't really rly know about this about stuff but I have enough friends who do to know this much lol

 

Interesting. It still seems like a very different scenario in some ways, but I guess part of it is that they are consumed in such a different way. Like I guess we could include comic adaptations into the discussion in theory, but this being one self-contained story that may never get finished has a different feel to it than that sort of thing. Has there ever been a major manga that just gave up but the show had a real conclusion?

 

Downloaded a 1080p version and watched on my laptop and the first third of the battle made a LOT more sense.

In retrospect, Sam should've run from the main battle down to the crypts and then had a purpose defending folks down there. Cowardice, then courage and redemption.

 

Nah, still Maisie. She'll be able to pass for 12 until she's in her late 40s.
