I'll always associate it with her entering my life. I love when albums can do that for me - occupy a significant life memory. I'll likely be biased about it for years to come, but I really really like this record so far objectively speaking.

 

Of course it leaks on day one of my 3 day camping trip.

 

first listen is over and i can't be rational about this album right now. if i were to write a review i'd point out several little things that i'll probably be critical about when the dust settles. but at this moment i am nothing but euphoric, emotional, and grateful. i only became a fan a few years ago so it's my first full album cycle and it couldn't have climaxed any better than this.

also, for some reason i'm feeling a very strong urge to listen to Neighborhoods now so i'll do that. yeah, not rational at all.

congrats man! play it around the house like hell so she'll get used to the good stuff.

 

Blink superfan trivia who says "this can't be the end" and "you did this" in Down

 

BMG is super on top of things, She's Out Of Her Mind was posted on youtube and blocked in a minute lol.

Listening to the transition between I'm Lost Without You and Cynical is gold. Totally the direction Neighbourhoods should have gone. Sounds so right.

I'm a weirdo, because I actually like some of the songs on Neighborhoods. At the same time, it feels so good to have some catchy Blink right now. I'm so happy.

 

just got back from listening to this on a mountain looking over the city with one of my younger brothers...

i only listened to it once all the way through and i don't think i can pick favorites right now, except for "she's out of her mind." holy shit. that song! that one and "the only thing that matters" could EASILY be on Enema or TOYPAJ. So good!

i'm so excited to see what happens to blink once this is out and catches on with non-die hards. i really hope this shoots the band into popularity again. not just a nostalgia act. this album was great!

"los angeles" = linkin park feat. travis barker... haha. that one will have to grow on me. i CAN however picture a crowd jumping during the verses, and that's cool! the middle to end of the song is great. the first half is just so odd and doesn't feel like blink, but i can deal with that. haha

 

I feel like I should listen to Neighborhoods this coming week until I hear California cause it seems a real possibility I may never listen to it again lol.

 

Funny you say that. I used to take portable speakers and turn them up before placing them on my son's back when he was an infant. It would instantly calm him down. To him, it was just white noise I'm sure, so it was a lot like what he heard in the womb. It was a huge crowdpleaser when I'd start blaring (at a safe level of course) some sort of pop song and he'd instantly quiet down. Anyway, the point is, I'll likely be doing this with blink songs around my friends. Of course, with the way kids work, my daughter will be the exact opposite and it will only work with some shitty country song or something.

 

There's an alarming number of people on other fan forums who are just shitting all over this album, and I can't even take their opinions seriously cause it's so obvious that they made their minds up about this album before they even listened to it.

 

I am finallyyyyyy home from that damn wedding (had a good time, wife wanted to leave early, we're expecting our first in about 6 weeks or less) with that being said would someone be kind of enough to message me a you know what....I just got home and attempting to find it on google right now.

I am weirder, I like the majority of neighborhoods minus fighting he gravity, love is dangerous , and this is home. But I'm digging BTD RH and NF more

 

I'm enjoying this.

 

"The Only Thing That Matters", My favorite Mark led song in years. This one would be really fun live.

 

I wish I had friends to order pizza with sit around, listen to this and scroll through what's left of the bitter blink fans comments and drink coke and boxed wine and laugh really cheesy like those stock party photos.
