So I am a little over halfway through and, they just don't make pop punk like this anymore. I love it and I hope we don't have to wait 5 years for more music!!

I would fully support it haha. I do hope we get an Alkaline record after the Blink tour, I miss them.

No. This is a great album for Blink 182 but I'd never want a Trio album to sound anything like this. What I hope Matt takes away from this is the pressure that probably lit a fire under his ass to sing like he's still got something to prove.

First Friday night in a long time I don't have plans to go out. I think I'm gonna stay inside with my friends Mark, Matt and Travis

Like I said, great for Blink, not for trio. And this coming from me whise favorite trio album is agony and irony, which everyone else hates for being "over produced".

I see what you're getting at. Trio are my all-time faves and I can immediately tell the difference between how he sings on the three songs I've heard compared to the last 2 or 3 Trio records. That isn't to infer that he's been "phoning it in" or something, but there's more gravity and heft to the way he sings. It's as if Feldmann got him to project more when singing, to find a style that's between how he sounds on FHTI/GM and how he sounds on Crimson/A&I.

I think Feldman is smart enough to gauge each band's career-long vibe and not cross any clear lines. I don't think he'd "overproduce" a trio record.

I wouldn't mind a little of Feldy's help on writing, but I'd rather they stick with a Matt Allison-type producer for the next Trio record. Their style doesn't fit the mold of production blink does.

Right. I'd just rather he not and this scenario nevrr come to fruition. And also Dan doesn't at all need the kind of "help" Feldman seems to offer. Unlike Matt he's actually consistently gotten better with time and it's gotten to the point where he outshines Matt. Dan is where Trio need to be right now, it just seems like Matt got too comfortable. I'm not saying they needed an overhaul, just that Matt specifically needed a kick in the pants and he got it here. He just needs to bring it back.

this record is fun. i don't like everything ("home" is... nah, "she's out of her mind" is still terrible, and i kinda wish more songs sounded like "los angeles" lol) but i love both stump cowrites and "teenage satellites." idk if i feel particularly attached to an album that sounds like this though, and as someone mentioned pages ago, i miss tom's guitar, even though he has like, five guitar parts tops at this point they were always kind of interesting and asymmetrical wrt the rest of the music. here the guitar is mostly just serving the songs

Finally a couple of listens through and I finally feel like they gave me everything I was sort of asking for on this record. A few pop punk gems, a few that actually do run it back to the Enema and TOYPAJ and aren't just fast tracks, and some songs that don't even sound like blink-182....which was something I was actually hoping for. "Los Angeles" and "Home is Such a Lonely Place" don't feel like the same band to me. They don't sound like anything the band would have even thought to try, but they did it so well. I even welcome "She's Out of Her Mind" and "Sober" even though those are overly poppy. The album doesn't have too much of one thing to wear you out. They just went heavy on the hooks this time around which I'm perfectly fine with.

I'll be with you the whole way.

Two listens in. My favorite is San Diego. The album is great.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I actually thought of that today. If he could get Trio to pick up where they left off with Crimson, I think I might be all for it. But that's a tall order. Idk that scares me too much. And Trio's fanbase might riot for the most part if Feldy did it. Idk haha. I'm actually hoping since this is so summery-pop punk, that when they get back to the next Trio album, it gets a little rawer for them. I think I'd prefer them stay with Bill Stevenson.

Edit: Considering he does want to help write, I don't think I could back it. I like his input on blink but Trio is just like too personal to me.

Beginning of She's Out of Her Mind sounds like it could have easily been on Enema or TOYPAJ

I hope Skiba can balance the bands well because it would be fantastic to see blink back on a two year schedule. Only thing I can see getting in the way of that is touring.

So for some reason i wasn't like, SUPER hyped for this for whatever reason. Like I was interested but I kept my expectations pretty contained. Just finished first listen of the album and I really really like it. The only song that doesn't click with me quite yet is Home is Such a Lonely Place (funny since a lot of people are praising that one in particular) but on an album that has 16 songs that is impressive. My standouts are Los Angeles, San Diego, Left Alone......geez there's a lot. Just a super great album on first impression.

Kings Of The Weekend is the most deletable thing on here, more than the joke songs. Any chorus that starts with "it's friday night" needs to get out of my life.
