Not really sure why it seemed like they really wanted Captain marvel to come out right before this rather than earlier.

Also, chalk up two more Community cast members in the MCU

That back to back sequence of Tony's death, his message to Pepper/his daughter, and his funeral is probably my favorite MCU moment. Just so perfectly handled.

It's just a stinger of Tony Stark hammering the Mark I from the first film.

  12. Greg

It was the clanging of Tony shaping the mask of his first armor.

Tony calls Thor Lebowski but he fought a dude in Iron Man 1 who was almost exactly Lebowski but he never called him that so what gives

So from Infinity War, the permanent deaths were Loki, Vision and present day Gamora.

Then Tony and Natasha in this film.

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony will go down as one of the best films roles ever, as well as Chris Evans as Steve.

I was fully prepared to be as underwhelmed with this as I was with Infinity War, but I'm super happy to report that wasn't the case. They really stuck the landing imo.

Legitimately cried at one point and choked up at others. A.O. Scott was right, this doesn't really drag at all, Infinity War's shorter runtime felt wayyyyyy longer for me.

Definitely the best Russo MCU for me, the action at points actually felt inspired!

Yes the third act was sooooooo much fan service but after 22 films I think they've earned it when they can execute it that well.

Overall super, super satisfied with it.

Death count was way lower than I expected for some reason. Was definitely not expecting Natasha to be one of the deaths.

Love what they did with Gamora and how that sets up guardians 3.

I feel this for the most part except Steve looking at Peggy through the glass is what fully brought me to tears

Did 2014 Gamora go with the Guardians? She wasn’t at Tony’s funeral and I didn’t see her on the ship.

It also took me a moment to realize the kid from Iron Man 3 was at Tony’s funeral.

She ran away, the ship map says “locating” with a picture of her, probably setting up guardians 3 to include looking for her and walking into whatever is next, villain-wise, in the process

    Amazing movie

Such a great payoff for the last 11 years. I feel truly lucky to have been there this whole time and seen all these movies in theaters as they came out

I can’t wait to see it again. I also don’t understand how it was 3 hours long didn’t even feel like 2 to me

Oh my fucking gosh, that was perfect. They did it. What a beautiful, hilarious, tastefully self indulgent, honestly touching victory lap that cannot be repeated.
