I love and hate that I don't know for sure if Blink will be playing Enema of the State front to back this weekend, like they've mentioned a couple times. I just can't wait to hear the opening riff to "Dumpweed" when they come out. But I can already hear the crowd giving a collective groan when they come out to "Feeling This."

 

Or since it’s a festival half the crowd would cheer still

 

Don't get me started on Blink's festival crowds...

 

Please start, in the most long and comical post you can make

 

Don't kid yourself: they'll open with Feeling This either way

 

Not much of a difference between them and their regular crowds tbh

 

I like Feeling This as an opener

 

So do I. But blink fans by law tend to like to complain

 

- Big, buff bros with upside down sunglasses on the back of their bald heads. Their faces are red from being out in the sun all day, except for the white around their eyes where their sunglasses were. They are jumping and headbanging offbeat to "The Rock Show."

- The same big, buff bros standing behind their bikini clad girlfriends in small cut off denim shorts, with their arms wrapped around their girl's waist, and they awkward sway back and forth while the band plays "I Miss You."

- When the band plays "Wendy Clear" you hear a bunch of dudes saying to their friends "I don't know this song! It's probably new! Hell yeah!"

- During "Feeling This" a bunch of girls sing along, but say "I'm feelin' it!"

- At the end of "Aliens Exist", a bunch of dudes yell "Tom has sex with guys!"

- One dude in the verrrrry back yelling "WHERE'S TOM!!!!!" as if the band can actually hear him.

- Everyone singing the loudest for "First Date."

- A mosh pit forming during "Stay Together For The Kids"

 

I like "Feeling This" as an opener. But not when the band says they plan on playing Enema all the way through, which would mean "Dumpweed" would be the best opener since... it's the first song on the album, ha.

 

Amen to that. Especially amphitheater shows.

 

Well yes if they play the album Dumpweed should open obviously. Dumpweed is a great opener regardless though.

 

Right, that's why I said there'd be a collective groan if they opened with "Feeling This" because that would most likely mean that they weren't going to be playing Enema like they said they were planning on doing. Not necessarily because "Feeling This" would be the opener.

 

I think it would be weird to hear Feeling This in the middle of the set list but that's probably because I'm so used to it being the opener and really it is a perfect opener.

 

Simple Creatures have a countdown up for the "Adrenaline" music video, which apparently comes out in 2 days. So I bet if we get any kind of Blink news, it won't be until after that. Probably Friday, if this week at all, if I had to guess.

 

Depends on where in the set they place enema

 

They could still open with Feeling This but play Enema as a whole. When they did the Untitled Anniversary shows they played their greatest hits in the middle, so they could still do the same.

I'm guessing you'd rather they play Enema first and finish it straight through and then finish the set with their greatest hits?

 

The untitled show I saw was the best. Started with untitled, a set of deep cuts and ended with Dammit

 

I'd like to see them come out, play Enema front to back and then come back out and do a "greatest hits" set, and maybe the new single that will hopefully be out by then, haha.

 

It seems like we get a new "blink182 is a common password" articles every three or four years. I remember writing about it like 10+ years ago at least the first time.

All y'all change your passwords and make them long and unique!

 

They used to open with Dumpweed before Untitled came out.

First of all, I feel attacked.

Second: I’m all for not trusting anything implicitly but I saw mark himself say he had to re-learn anthem for the show so I’d say it at least is the PLAN. Whether or not it happens remains to be seen but he only said that last week so it’s definitely in the cards. More-so than people hanging on Travis’s liking of a “new single in April?” comment as meaning a single is coming this month (it’s probably not let’s be honest)
