Long distance relationships are the best sort of relationships. But, then there is a need to have phone sex, which, to my mind, is one of the most awkward things in this world. At a certain point, in order to get out of having to do it, I simply told her that she should probably have sex with other people until such a time that we'd meet up.

 

This is why we have skype and or facetime now.

 

would it be better to make this the dating and relationships thread and have a separate thread just for sex? that's what happened on AP. so for people who don't want to discuss sex as much they wouldn't have to here. just a thought.

 

I did one true long distance relationship. Drove down to TN to see her for a week, got dumped by the end of it, and made a long sad drive back up home the next day. If anything, it made me strive to be a better person since I acted like a twit at times down there and made me realize that I had a problem with anxiety worth looking into. So turned out better for it. Plus, we're cool with each other since that happened, which really is the best outcome to be honest.

 

I nominate the sex thread to be called The Eating Booty Like Groceries Thread.

I do like the fluid nature of this thread, but I understand if some folks want a separate space to just talk about certain things.

Yeah I tried to make it as fluid as possible, but no matter what there's always going to be some awkwardness involved in that situation. I've had it happen where I invite a girl over and before the front door closed behind her she was trying make out with me. Like god damn, I made dinner for you lets at least eat first haha.
