We reach for the longest shadow

I think I would enjoy Kylo not getting redeemed, but I'm not sure I trust Disney to let them make a movie where he dies a villain.

I'm glad, I got the feeling everyone wanted him to turn heel and be a good guy.

With Palpatine returning it would be hard for Kylo not to turn. I don't see Rey defeating Kylo and then going against Palpatine and vice versa. Not that she is too weak, I just don't think that would flow well narratively.

Just a random thought, but I could see Kylo being arrogant and thinking he's more powerful than Palpatine and try to or successfully overthrow him, whatever he is at this point.

Well Rey will defeat Kylo while Finn, Poe and C3PO lay down fire on Palpatine to distract him while R2 gets in close for the final blow.

I'd also like to say that I've come to the conclusion that I care more about this new trilogy more than any other era of Star Wars. And I'm pretty sure it's 100% because of how great the Kylo and Rey characters are. There's other stuff I like a lot too, obviously, but they're both just incredible. I think Kylo is the best villain in the whole saga and behind probably only Han on a list of my favorite characters in order, and that's only because Han is so charming and funny.

Yeah I really enjoy Kylo as well. He's really the only villain I feel like that's unhinged in any of the movies.

His anger and immaturity and ambition feels 100% convincing and the others really don't to me.

  10. There was no need for Vader to be unhinged in the original trilogy.

I don't need to see Vader unhinged by any means, but he always felt robotic and not even human to me, which isn't as interesting and/or relatable.

I could always relate to the fact that he lives in a volcano.

    TBF, he was mostly robot

Lol, good point but I meant robotic from an emotional point of view not physicality, haha

  15. I think the way they are both portrayed makes sense based on the time period of the films. You can see the start of Anakin's turn in the Clone Wars series and then he loses it in Episode 3 and becomes unhinged at the end of that movie. Probably the same age as Kylo or thereabouts.

ahhhh sorry haha. Anakin was like someone was trying to teach a robot emotions and they overcompensated.

Kylo is probably my favorite villain too. Maul is probably 2nd. They've done a good job at fleshing out Vader/Anakin in the comics and animated series, but I still find the other too more interesting.

Kylo is my favorite villain because of how he was on the fence. If he goes full villain then his cool points will go down a little.

Kylo Ren is the most complex and interesting of the film villains by far. He's written so well and Adam Driver has given such an amazing, raw, captivating performance thus far.

I do love Kylo a lot and hes my second favorite villain next to Palpatine just because he’s so deliciously wicked and so great in every iteration.

I definitely would say I would like more history behind Ben. Not necessarily why he turned because we got that with Lukebut more why he hates Han and how Snoke “turned his heart.” Before Luke confronted him in the hut
