This is a genius idea. Im actually kind of amazed that I havent seen it happen in any other league, aside from max salaries in the NBA (which is basically the opposite of this)

 

Trading Ben for Wilson would be a -$5mil cap hit (and that obviously assumes we dont re-do his deal, which we clearly would to lower his 2019 cap number and sign him for 5+ years)...which actually isnt bad.

I could absolutely see us trading Ben to a team who wants a QB for a year or two (think Flacco->Denver, but better compensation) if we could get someone as quality as Wilson. Though, it'd make me sad we traded AB, because AB+Wilson would be a freakish combo in a scramble situation
