So I ran into a guy at Celebration who says he worked on the Mandolorian and said there’s going into production on season 2 in the next month or 2. Take it with a grain of salt but that could be announced at the panel Sunday.

Dee Bradley Baker kind of just confirmed with the SW show that the Bad Batch arc is apart of the last 12 episodes of TCW. "what were doing is different with it but its pretty close."

but then says the rest of its all new so idk if that will include the Utapau arc. doesnt sound like it. Ill take that. the trailer has the bad batch there so they would have to introduce them. Also I think that arc was about finding Echo so Im happy with what Im hearing

 

Lucasfilm putting the 'Star Wars' movies 'on hiatus' after this year

Weiss and Benioff have been having conversations with Rian. Not unexpected but interesting

 

Mmm apprehensive about that. Don’t mind the two year break at all. Don’t mind them mapping the future. I like both of those. It really seems like they are using these next couple years to wrap up storytelling in this era that we’ve lived in for so long and retiring it. And I dig that.

Just nervous about Rian and B&W talking. I don’t want it to be a combined thing. Hopefully they are just talking about what each wants to do with their projects and what a potential release timeline would look like

 

It makes sense that they'd talk. They're both going to be touching things that are largely outside of existing canon, so it makes sense for them and the story group to make sure they don't do things that come into conflict.

 

Coca-Cola is canon.

God Im loving this Rebels panel. I love Vanessa Marshall so much. And every time I hear Dave talk about Star Wars I just cant get enough. Please let him make movies!

 

Jedi Fallen Order panel was great. Game seems really cool and is picking up on some other canon threads with the Inquisitors. Single players story only. Definitely gonna be a must get. Releases on 11/15/19. Will try and post trailer later if someone hasn’t already.

Sisters of the force panel getting emotional.

 

I’m playing through KOTOR and KOTOR 2 again and this thread feels like the best place for me to gush about them I just adore this era of SW and I sincerely hope it gets another shot at mainstream attention. If the Clone Wars/prequel era didn’t exist it would be my favorite.

Something the episode XI trailer reminded me of is how much this franchise references and repeats itself. It’s easy to make fun of Lucas’ “it’s like poetry, they rhyme” quote but even in the KOTOR era there are little allusions to things that happen in the movie eras. I used to kinda think this was lazy or at the very least made the universe feel small but now I think it’s interesting how history is, even in small ways, inevitably going to repeat itself especially within the confines of a tragic space opera.

Also to join in on the above ya the new Jedi game looks good from the trailer and I have high hopes for Respawn delivering a quality SW game.

 

Gonna have to watch the replay of the Rebels panel.
