No it’s real it’s from the official Facebook page. I don’t listen to hip hop or rap just thought I’d share it

Almost that time of the year when Summer Slaughter drops hints about some of the bands on the upcoming line-up.

Thy Art Is Murder is releasing an album this summer, so I wouldn't be shocked to see them on it.

I just want them to stop recycling the same damn bands over and over. Theres plenty of great death and black metal bands these days that could make a phenomenal tour but Summer Slaughter just seems to pick the same bands every tour.

Last year when they did the So Long, Astoria 15th anniversary tour, they were booked to play the Constellation Room in the Observatory, which is about 300 cap. It was postponed because of Kris getting sick, and when it was rescheduled, it was moved to (the now defunct) Marty’s On Newport, which was a 150 cap venue. And I don’t think the show sold out either...

My friend saw them play to 25 people during the So Long, Astoria tour last year. I honestly couldn't believe it, that album was huge, but I don't think anyone keeps tab on the band at all anymore.

They did the 15 years tour at Bottom Lounge in Chicago a few months ago (700 cap) and it was about half full. It was a Sunday. Really fun show.

I was at the Denver So Long, Astoria date. It was at a 600 cap room and had maybe 150 people on a $12 ticket /$8 Groupon. It looks like my band is playing the next Denver date that just got announced. It's at a 150 cap room with a $20 ticket...no idea how this show will do

I always wonder why some bands who don’t sell out a venue end up either raising ticket prices or playing a bigger venue the next time they come through a specific area. If a band couldn’t even sell out the smaller venue at a cheap price, what makes either moving to a bigger venue or charging more for a ticket a good idea?

As a huge Ataris fan I've been consistently hearing for the last decade that Kris Roe is extremely difficult to tour/play with so chances are he isn't helping their draw in 2019.

At Warped 2017 they weren't bad, but they only played 5 songs because he extended Your Boyfriend Sucks into some weird 8-10 minute jam session which isn't what you want to do at a festival where most of your daily crowd are casual fans.

Speaking of The Ataris, Chicago date popped up as well so it's not only a west coast thing
