I loved TFA, TLJ, and am incredibly hyped for this as well.

 

The press tour begins finally! And the teaser poster is just the star field with the blue font

 

I thought the exact same thing

 

after seeing the poster and trailer

Ive kinda hated him in the past, but 3P0 seems like hes gonna go hard af this movie

 

The shot of Leia made me tear up a lil.

But I don’t like most JJ Abrams movies or at this point most Star Wars movies so I’ll keep my expectations low and hope for fun visual spectacle with a bunch of actors and characters I like

Rian is my favorite Star Wars fan

 

It may be a stretch but...

We're assuming it's Palpatine giggling like a scary bitch at the end of the trailer, but does it not sound pretty similar to The Joker's laugh? Aka Luke???

Might be because I'm a little stoned but what if Kylo and Rey are both Anakin in some capacity? Like Rey is the light and Kylo is the dark of Anakin? That might be a stretch now that I think of it.

 

At The panel Ian McDiarmid (sp?) was there after the trailer and in the voice said roll it again or something. It’s him

 

In a way though, it’s coming full circle with the saga with him returning. After all, it was him who pulled the strings that caused the end of the Jedi and the rise of the Empire, which has been felt in every movie. Ending the saga with him coming back makes sense, it gives closure

 

Idk how I feel about this. I like it to an extent because the metaphor is kinda cool, but then I think "fuck that. Rey is Rey and she doesn't NEED to be a Skywalker. She can just be her with agency and light and dark and find her way."

 

Rey Poe Finn and rebellion have to defeat Darth Sidious in this movie.

That is fair. I could see it being well done, I just don’t love the idea of the “they died (or did they????” thing they’re apparently going all in on.
