is this supposed to be bad for Warren?

being able to admit when you were wrong about something and change your position as time goes on seems like a good trait to have

  2. don't think this was the point the tweeter was trying to make exactly, but for me it just sort of illustrates how, even though Warren might have better policy proposals, Bernie's underlying ideology is very different and more consistent. its basically the only thing that puts him ahead of her for me

  3. Bernie has some really bad votes in his history ... I don’t think bringing out what Warren said in high school or 1982 means much. It definitely won’t to voters. They don’t even care Sanders voted for that horrific 1994 crime bill.

  4. Attacking Warren, of all people, to prop up Bernie is why I really dislike the Bernie contingent online. She’s of the few people in the damn country trying to do real good.

It should be Bernie and Warren vs everybody, either winning is good for the direction of the country

I'd argue this just means Warren's policy proposals are more grounded in personal experience, realizing first hand the dangers of lack of regulation can do. I'm curious what bad positions Bernie has had that he has learned from and changed his mind on. Has he shown he is able to do that? Or does he tend to get stuck with his positions and we're just fortunate most of them start off good?

None of the other dozens of impeachable offenses have taken him down. Why would this? I'm sure his base loves this.

I think if we're gonna examine past economic policy proposals for dem candidates to try and get a look into authenticity of those proposals like the furthest I would go back would be like the 2007/2008 to see if they were shilling for big banks even after the great recession.

Of fucking course Trump has the audacity to call the opposing side the "radical" left as he shares an insanely radical plan.

i can't think of a single thing trump has done in office in the last two years that this couldn't be said for as well. Like...it's just not happening. Pelosi won't do it, he's got the DoJ and courts packed in his favor. Best bet is to beat him in 2020 and even then that's not a surefire way at this point.

I think everyone is underestimating how likely it is for him to get re-elected. Dems need to take off the fucking kid gloves and go after him. Call him out for every lie, interrupt him endlessly at every debate. I don't know, it's just infuriating to watch him control the narrative with rural America and the lower-middle class by just saying whatever the fuck he wants to antagonize people.

i don't know anyone who thinks 2020 is gonna be a breeze for whoever the democratic nominee ends up being. I mean, if anything, I hope the one thing that comes out of trump's 4-8 years in office is that a wide swath of voters see how cowardly and milquetoast the current democratic establishment is and how fundamentally equipped the constitution and our institutions are especially wrt deal with 21st century problems like late stage capitalism, global politics, and the cancerous GOP tactics and policies.

im just tired that every news story about something trump does gets the same,...idk overdramtic I guess, response of "this is an affront to democracy he needs to be impeached now etc etc etc"

Haha, see I feel differently about the news. I feel like every news story ends up being too fucking casual about his schtick. Every headline is treated in this weird lawerly fashion that seems to sideline the fact that he's outright lying.

Then of course, there's the separate fact-checker article written hours after the fact, "Is President Trump's claim that immigrants chokeslam babies true?"

Imagine a Dem even joking about a plan to punish red states by like removing millions in federal funding for important programs, saying hey they love small government they should be a fan

Imagine the massive media backlash they’d get for dividing the country and alienating voters and use partisan anger over figuring out solutions

And watch how none of that will happen
