  1. How did you feel about the other songs on here then? Do you think Blink's gonna have another big hit?

  2. Peachfuzz

I'll be with you the whole way.

Loving the "they don't care... about you" line in terms of tone.
Still, very "Simple Plan-ish" as a whole.

No. I'm saying that the songs wrote amongst the 3 of them were scrapped.

Was Matt not as good a songwriter as Mark and Travis had hoped?

    Were the songs not Blink-y?

Instead of 33.3324234324% control of the songwriting, Matt's percentage dropped once Feldmann commandeered the project.

I'm sure he wrote bits and pieces here and there such as No Future's bridge.

But, if they wanted Matt's ideas to make up the majority of this record, they would've used their first 30 songs and not hired multiple co-writers as well as a producer who can't help but get involved in the songwriting process.

I don't know how you got a "Tom Diss" from this track at all.

I don't think it's right to say still enjoying something I've enjoyed since I was 10 years old means I should still enjoy new things that are in a similar style at 27.

Whether it's right or wrong, who knows, but it's definitely a fallacy.

I can like their previous records and not like this one, even if they intended to capture the spirit of those previous records that I still enjoy.

And so far, I hear nothing remotely similar to the band I loved.

The weakest songs on any of their previous records have delivered more than these 5 songs have.

Even Heart's All Gone crushes these songs and I wasn't that high on Heart's All Gone until these songs provided me some much needed perspective.

I can't even read this with a straight face with all the absurd accusations you're making. Laughed aloud at the idea that Travis had 1/3 of the songwriting "control" in Blink-182.

They wrote a bunch of demos together and apart. They didn't even finish the songs and most were just pieces and parts of them without any lyrics. Some had lyrics. Some were more put together than others. But then they decided they didn't like them after getting into the studio and working on new songs. Together. Then all of a sudden they realized they had something else inside of them they liked more ... and so they went in that direction. This is not anywhere near this crazy conspiracy you have. Bands do this all the fucking time. Blink has done this before (written songs and then scrapped them in the studio).

You keep making these statements like "if they wanted Matt's ideas to make up the majority of this record, they would've used their first 30 songs" — which is just fucking bonkers. And you keep acting like Blink's producer being involved in their songs is something bad. It's fucking Blink. God damn Jerry Finn "faked" an entire live album with the band! Like come on!

  16. Hearts All Gone has always been in the top 5 best Neighborhoods songs. Maybe top 3 even. :-)

    Things have changed.

Apparently Feldmann held them hostage in his studio for months against their will.

    lol exactly.

These guys are HUGE MUSICIANS with a lot of power. If they didn't like how things were going, they'd have left. The idea that Feldmann strongarmed them into doing things his way is laughable. They wouldn't all still be friends and recording podcasts and doing kickboxing workouts together if they felt he was infringing on their creativity and independence.

  21. And anytime that Matt guy said something he probably had the hose turned on him.

  22. John Feldmann is our modern day Phil Spector?!

Nobody likes you when you're 23

Why does everyone see Feldmann as a bad guy who wants to take over blink? Lol

    Dear internet gods,

My daughter will be arriving into this world tomorrow morning. Please bless me with this album so I can listen to it during my hours upon hours on a hospital lounge chair that's supposed to serve as a bed.

    Amen

P.S. If not, I will likely just listen to a Jimmy Eat World album or something and will likely still love my daughter all the same.

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

"This is how I can write a blink song and then just add delay and turn it into an Angels and Airwaves song or vice versa and none of my diehard fans will know the difference and think I'm a guitar virtuoso and buy whatever shit I throw at them. Half the work!"

Audio is muffled, I think that's what he said. Lol.
