Anybody think well see Leia/Luke/Lando in the trailer?

Its hard for me to imagine any of them but I feel like one of them will. I hope its Luke and just get that out of the way since its obvious but I feel like its going to be Lando

Leia or Lando, if any of them. As obvious as a force ghost Luke may be, there is no way they waste that in a trailer.

Leia is definitely going to be in the trailer in some capacity. Really hoping Lando is too because I’m just so damn excited Billy Dee is finally back. I doubt we see anything of Luke until the movie is out, or at least I hope we don’t. They need to keep that moment special just like the Yoda scene in TLJ. Such an amazing and thrilling moment that I’ll never forget.

I think it'd be dumb not to have both Leia & Lando in the trailer/teaser/whatever. And, in all honesty, w/ Luke showing up (in some capacity) being already officially confirmed... I personally think it'd also be dumb to not at least end w/ a quick shot of him.

Last Jedi is easily my favorite post-Empire Star Wars film, & most people I've talked to who really didn't like it (even outside the anti-"SJW" crowd) are annoying to discuss the film with. That being said, since Han's dead, Luke's dead, & Carrie's dead, considering how powerful a tool nostalgia is, it just feels like smarter marketing to clearly display the ties to the original trilogy. Without sidelining the new cast, of course, but that shouldn't be that hard, even in a shorter teaser.

Heck, by the second trailer, I'd wanna see Yoda (depending on what scene(s) he's in plot-wise), tbh.

I cant see Yoda in it again. I think he came back just because Luke needed him in that time. If rey needs advice it will be Luke's ghost. If we see him at all Id bet its a ROTJ-esque moment with all of the Force Ghosts together smiling and having a beer together.

Yoda better be in this, along with the force ghosts of Anakin and Obi-Wan (maybe Qui-Gon, because we know he became a force ghost as well).

Have we though? I think the only time we saw him was on Mortis and I dont think that was necessarily an official Force Ghost. I think it was different because Mortis was a nexus of the Force. When Yoda talked to him later in the show he said he couldnt show his physical form.

Oh hmmm I didn’t know that. I always thought he could appear as a force ghost since he taught Yoda.

gah I hate to be a total nerd but Qui-Gon didnt really teach Yoda. He more or less pointed the way to the planet with the Force Priestess' who taught him and he went through a bunch of challenges. I wish I could suggest watching the last 3 episodes of The Clone Wars series because they are so great but Netflix just took them off on Sunday.:-/

What he went through is what I want Obi-Wan to go through in whatever future project they have for him, show or movie.

I’ve never seen the clone wars so all of this is new to me.

I think people have just assumed for years that Qui-Gon was able to come back as a Force Ghost because Yoda taught Obi-Wan how to commune with him after Episode III. So while technically we don’t *know* for sure that he can we also don’t know that he can’t either.

Also true. It’s been like...30 years since the clone wars era

I’m fairly certain Quin Gon appears as a force ghost in one of the new books to Obiwan.

You are correct. Looked it up. In Certain Point of View he does. Thanks!

It would be cool to see Qui-Gon again although literally nobody who is still involved in this story would know who he was so the moment would be lost on them lol. Same with Obi-Wan. I wouldn't be surprised if Luke is the only Force Ghost we see, unless they play a wildcard and have Hayden go all Ghost of Christmas Past with Kylo Ren haha.

Hayden is the only wild card I could see. Qui Gon would make zero sense story wise. Lucas adding Hayden to ROTJ’s ending is a gift for continuity.

Rey communing with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Luke one by one asking for advice on how to beat Kylo without killing him ala Avatar the last airbender and him talking to past avatars.

It would be such a rip off but I would still end up loving it lol

If there’s anything fans consistently love about Star Wars, it’s when characters from previous movies with no emotional or thematic bearing on the plot show up for two minutes

    So assuming that this weekend...

    Trailer guesses:

    - We hear Luke's voice.
    - The trailer begins or ends with a shot of Leia.

I mean I’m just saying if Ashoka shows up like Gandalph the White for two minutes to teach Rey something I’d probably just become one with the Force right in the middle of the theater.

  21. I love Ahsoka but we don't need her in this movie

I mean I’m not saying I want her lol just IF it happened I don’t think I could find myself to be upset about it no matter how contrived it is. Although it probably would be awful

So what all are we realistically expecting to get this weekend?

    Title, poster, and teaser trailer?

On top of that getting character descriptions for some the new cast like they did for rose in 2017. Kerri’s a bounty hunter. Richard e grants a FO officer. Some basic stuff.
