Tom is all business. And businesses need money to thrive, and so he has to slap a price tag on literally everything he does so he can feel like a real business. And he's riding on the coattails of his fame so only his biggest fans are buying stuff, i'm sure. i can't imagine some random UFO abductee is buying AVA comic books or whatever.

I don't know why "cute" is the first thing that comes to mind as I'm listening to this song? It's endearing because it's simple and "motivational" which apparently equates to "cute" in my mind, but I also think Josie is "cute" so maybe I'm just lacking in vocabulary for songs that make me feel a specific sort of way. Why is Matt's voice so damn good? And the guitar part at the bridge sounds like it could be an alkaline trio song, holy shit.

 

Don't get all the hate for blinks lyrics, I'd be lying if I said I didn't grow up loving blink because I related to their lyrics so much. Blink and all their Side projects had lyrics I could resonate with. They don't have to be intelligent to be good or great.

Nobody has ever milked a fanbase like Tom does, maybe besides Kiss lol. He puts out box sets, demos, and all other stuff and the thing is he has zero need for quality control because he knows he can just churn it out and they'll eat it up. That novel was pure garbage. Not to mention the story someone posted in here of him only granting a radio station an interview to push an AVA single right when Neighborhoods came out. You can tell Mark and Travis genuinely love all their songs, he talked so happily about All The Small Things when they were on BBC. Meanwhile you can tell Tom doesn't give a shit about those songs and was only getting his ass up on stage purely for a paycheck.

 

I was so glad when he recorded that for Babylon, one of my favorite Skiba songs ever.

 

I really like every song so far, but the lyrics are hell awful (compared to every other blink record or blink related record).
