As far as boxed pasta, De Cecco 100% of the time if they have the shape of pasta that I want. However, there is an Italian market near me and if I go there, I'll pick out pasta based on looks alone. I can't tell you a name as I don't speak Italian or buy it often enough to remember it.

@littlejohn Buitoni makes fresh pasta that I can find in my grocery store's refrigerated section which is typically pretty good. But lately, I'm finding myself enjoying premium dried pasta over the fresh (excluding ravioli and other stuffed pasta).

That said, premium dried pasta is still very damn cheap.

 

@littlejohn I found two of the premium pastas that I really enjoy: Granoro and Piro.

There's a third one but I am having no luck finding it online.
