I'd go so far as to argue that local multiplayer was dead even as far back as last generation. PS3/360 didn't have a whole lot either. The better and more stable online play got, local MP kind of went by the wayside.

 

And there are still great local multiplayer games on console (though I'm still waiting on Samurai Gunn to come out for ps4). I do a lot more online gaming anyway since quite a few of my friends moved to different states for college.

 

I miss good, local multiplayer.

 

I would have to agree and acknowledge that I am in the minority that desires more local multiplayer games. While online gaming is fun, it's hard to compete with having a bunch of friends playing in the same room. Like 8 player Smash bros can get intense, but it's a blast.

 

Yeah, I'm in the same boat as you. I rarely play MP games of any kind, but local was always super fun. With most online games, the few times I want to play, it's hard to have fun because so many people play that shit religiously and you just die in 10 seconds every time.

 

Considering getting Life is Strange for $10.

Also, is there a big difference between The Binding of Isaac and Rebirth?

Edit: FFXIII-2 and Lightning Returns are both $10 each. Square Enix take all my money.

Edit2: On second thought, I should probably wait it out and see if any of them drop to $7.50. Being unemployed is hard, y'all.

I'm eyeing Out of the Park Baseball 17, Dying Light, Invisible Inc, Dying Light, Prison Architect, Subnautica, Sunless Sea, Soma and Dead Rising 3

 

Well that was a bummer going to check out the Square sale only to learn that basically only FFX is available for PS4.

 

It's not even a good price for FFX, the physical is $5 cheaper on Amazon. All I want is for PS1 classics to work on PS4 so I can play all my FF games. Could I just hook up my PS3 or PS1 and play them instead? Sure, but where's the fun in that

 

Surprised Factorio doesn't have any kind of discount, game looks super interesting but not sure if it'll click with me.

 

Yeah I was totally prepared to grab FFVI, IX and probably Chrono Trigger and Cross before my rude awakening. Thanks for the tip about FFX/Amazon. I probably would have done the PSN sale price if I didn't learn that.

 

Inside, Deus Ex for me. Going to give We Happy Few a shot as well in Game Preview, although narrative portion is slate

Life is Strange is a lot of fun, I don't know if I think it's as amazing as everyone else seemed to think but I definitely enjoyed it. Choices and results stuck with me a lot after the fact.
