Instead of comparing this to ATL or 5SOS, I'm just gonna say that I remember someone said that NFG's Resurrection sounded like a NFG-influenced band trying to copy them.. Not to say I don't like these songs, I Just think sound like a blink-influenced band trying to sound like blink. But then again, maybe that's what they meant when they said it sounds like blink in 2016.. Don't know if that makes sense, still excited for the record. And this could be just a knee-jerk reaction since every song has been a grower for me and I've ended up loving both

This one's fantastic. I wish they sounded like this when they reunited.

Judging from the video comments, Tom fans continue to use any excuse to say that this isn't blink.

Do they need to be reminded the DED ep was three AVA songs, a +44 song, and a Smashmouth song? It was zero percent blink lol. This is ten times more blink than anything since 2003.

 

Let's be honest... They were still kinda dead even when they reunited. This is an actual re-birth of the band, and I'm lovin' it.

Also the beginning screams "Baby come on" to me haha because of Mark deep vocals, slow drumming, the arpeggiated guitar and the feedback sound. But that's the sound I want to hear from Mark, so no complaints

 

I think the harmonies on the "They Don't Care" line in the chorus is what completely sells me on this song. Ear Candy.

 

Kinda getting annoyed at the Mark first verse, Skiba second verse, both voices in the chorus structure that's been in every song so far.

Snuck a listen with my phone shoved up to my ear at work. Listening that way left me thinking the vocals were wayy louder than the instrumentals, but still was really catchy and immediately stuck in my head. Look forward to listening properly tonight!

 

I've listened a handful of times now, and I'm sorry but I still maintain that this particular song does sound a lot like some Goldfinger songs. Much more than the last two which I didn't really hear at all. In this instance, it's completely in the chorus and pieces of Matt's verse.

And I'm not just saying that in a vague way because he is the producer; I literally was reminded of Goldfinger songs when I first heard it. It's not meant in a negative sense because I like the band a lot, but it's pretty obvious to me in this instance that he was involved in this song. Not a big deal at all. That "RIP Blink" comment is garbage though.

 

It would be cool if they play this tonight.

Holy shit! Was not expecting another song! Really digging it, although its not my favorite of the 3. But that may change on repeated listens.

 

I feel it's unlikely considering it wasn't technically officially released.
